Permalink The Bundeswehr begins preparations for the "Battle of Berlin"

Elena Panina (Елена Панина) | "War in Europe has once again become a reality". "An attack on Germany" could be launched "without warning and with great, even existential damage". These and other excerpts from the Bundeswehr's policy document "Operational Guidelines for the Armed Forces" have hit the German press.

It proposes relying on "regular, high-intensity combat scenario-oriented and trained armed forces" that can be deployed on NATO's eastern flank as soon as possible.
The paper emphasizes Germany's role as "the leading country in Europe" because of its geographic location and potential military significance. It also notes that a conflict with Russia is becoming increasingly likely.
An additional €8.4bn from the Bundeswehr's €100bn "Special Assets" rearmament programme will be allocated to Germany's €50.1bn defence budget for 2023.
The abundant orders have boosted profits in the German military-industrial complex. For example, the Rheinmetall Group increased its Q3 revenue by 12.5% to €1.4bn.
The group's management is going to buy a Spanish arms corporation Expal Systems which produces from 250 to 300 thousand artillery shells a year. Rheinmetall has a production capacity of only 80,000 per year. "[The purchase will be] a reliable guarantee that the Bundeswehr will not run out of ammunition in future wars."
As we can see, Berlin has already rejected Russian energy sources at the behest of Washington. Next in line is rejection of the Chinese market. And the icing on the cake is war with Russia. All for the sake of U.S. and British interests.

If German elites continue to behave like an obedient herd, another battle for Berlin will become a reality. (T)

Permalink 'Not Appropriate': Chinese President Xi Scolds Canadian PM Trudeau Over G20 Leaked Talks - Video

Chinese President Xi Jinping appeared to reprimand Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday for disclosing private discussions to the news media, in an informal exchange of words partially captured in a video recording in a busy lobby area of the G20 summit in Bali. Trudeau is heard responding that “In Canada, we believe in free and open and frank dialogue,” adding that they would “work constructively together but there will be things we will disagree on.” Xi responds that they will need to create the conditions first before the exchange abruptly ends.

Xi roasts Canadian PM at G20 | The Chinese president scolded Justin Trudeau, implying he leaked the contents of their meeting to the media | Chinese President Xi Jinping has publicly dressed down Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for leaking the content of their meeting to the media. Canadian reporters captured the exchange on video during the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia on Wednesday. Barely a minute long, the exchange opens with Xi, speaking through a translator, telling Trudeau that 💬 “everything we discussed has been leaked to the papers.” “That is not appropriate. And that’s not the way the conversation was conducted,” Xi added. “If there was sincerity on your part…” 💬 [Trudeau] “In Canada we believe in free and open and frank dialogue, and that is what we’ll continue to have,” Trudeau replied, speaking over the translator still trying to finish relaying Xi’s words.

Permalink G20 Struggles to Reach Consensus on Ukraine War

The US and its allies are pushing for the G20 to condemn Russian's invasion, but it will never happen since Russia is a member | At the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Bali, Indonesia, members are struggling to reach a consensus on the war in Ukraine. The US and its Western allies are pushing for a condemnation of Russia in a joint statement, but that is extremely unlikely as Russia is a member of G20, and so are other countries reluctant to condemn Moscow, including China. A draft statement circulating the summit on Tuesday acknowledges that there are differing views on the war but also “deplores in the strongest terms the aggression by the Russian Federation” and “demands its complete and unconditional withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine.”  With the strong condemnation of the war, there’s no chance that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who is attending the summit on behalf of Vladimir Putin, would approve the statement. Lavrov said the Western G20 members tried to “politicize” the statement. 💬 “Yes, our Western colleagues tried in every way to make that declaration politicized and tried to push through language that implied condemning the actions of the Russian Federation on behalf of the entire G20, which includes us,” he said.

Permalink Hegemon USA Wants Russia to Pay Reparations to Ukrainian Nazis

Stephen Lendman | On Monday at the UN General Assembly, the Biden regime strong-armed nearly 50 vassals to co-sponsor a resolution, one denying Russia’s UN Charter right of self-defense, wanting Moscow to pay reparations to Ukraine, ignoring the US-installed regime’s years of war crimes. | The empire of lies and forever wars on invented enemies finds new ways to redefine chutzpah. No nation in world history raped, destroyed or significantly harmed more invented enemies. None caused more harm to more people over a longer duration. None more flagrantly breached the rule of law in virtually every way imaginable. Yet the illegitimate Biden regime wants Russia to pay reparations to US-installed Ukrainian Nazis — the same ones involved is waging war on Donbass since spring 2014.  After years of trying to end Kiev’s aggression diplomatically, Vladimir Putin authorized Russia’s SMO. He acted responsibly because over 100,000 US-controlled Ukrainian troops were mobilized in preparation to invade Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea. Russia acted in self-defense, in accordance with the UN Charter’s Article 51 — in stark contrast to how US-dominated NATO regimes operate.

Permalink US officials: Missile that hit Poland was fired by Ukrainian forces

Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has urged his compatriots to remain calm | US officials have suggested that the missile that hit Poland could have been fired by Ukrainian forces at an incoming Russian missile.  Two people were killed after missiles struck the eastern part of the country in what has been described as “a very significant escalation” of the war by Volodymr Zelensky. Nato secretary general Jens Stoltenberg has called an emergency meeting of the alliance’s envoys to discuss the events close to the Ukrainian border in Poland.  If the missiles did originate in Russia, it would mark the first time since the invasion of Ukraine that weapons from the country came down on a Nato member.

EvgenyPrimakov | I see some sarcasm here about those missiles (?) which fell on the Polish territory: they will investigate and understand that they are Ukrainian air defence missiles, they will be ashamed at once. Well, here's the thing: whatever they want, they will investigate. I can see that they also "investigated" the bombing of Nord Stream and kept quiet, which does not prevent them from boldly hinting (and sometimes directly saying) that it was Russia's fault all the same. So the question of "whose rocket" and "why did it hit the tractor in Przeduv, intentionally or accidentally" does not depend at all on trivial reality, but on political reality: what one wants to get. If one wants to enter Ukraine themselves, to introduce a no-fly zone over Ukraine and to pull the whiskers of a real World War III - then it is clear that they will decide, regardless. And the fact that the provocation was concocted in a crude and dirty way will be swallowed by the public.(T)

Elena Panina (Елена Панина) | "Three US officials said that preliminary estimates suggest the missile was fired by Ukrainian forces at an approaching Russian missile," the Associated Press grudgingly admits in this morning's editorial. But can you just stop blaming Russia like that? Of course not! That`s why the headline of the same AP editorial reads: "Poland: a Russian-made rocket fell on our country, two people died". The aim is to fix the "blame Russia for the attack on the NATO country" in the mass consciousness of the West, even if it is a carcass, even if it is a scarecrow. (T)
