Permalink IEA: 2023 does not bode well for EU and Ukraine

Elena Panina (Елена Панина) | The head of the International Energy Agency Fatih Birol predicted a sharp intensification of the energy crisis at the presentation of the report "How can the European Union avoid natural gas shortages in 2023? Europe and Ukraine will be among the hardest hit, according to the Turkish Milliyet. The main negative factor for the EU is a complete rejection of Russian gas in 2023. The gap in supply and demand will be at least 30 billion cubic meters. Nor will LNG suppliers help, due to low capacity growth and increasing demand in China. The IEA head's prescription for Europe looks mocking - increase energy efficiency and change the consumer's behaviour. In other words, to reduce consumption even more and to develop renewable energy with more zeal. Plus we can try to get wasted gas from Algeria and Egypt. Note that this entire European crisis is entirely man-made. After all, the rejection of Russian gas was directed - at the behest of Washington. The EU decided to punish Russia, but it punished itself. That is why there is absolutely no pity. As for Ukraine, things will be much worse there. The country has lost its political sovereignty and allowed itself to be turned into a battering ram against Russia. Now it will lose everything, including statehood. (DeepL.com/)

Apart from sending arms to its NATO allies, the Biden administration also continues to supply Kiev with weapons, something that Moscow warns will only further aggravate the Ukraine conflict. | The number and price of arms sales approved by Washington to its NATO allies almost doubled in 2022 as compared to 2021, a US magazine has reported. The outlet noted that last year, the US government approved 14 possible major arms sales to its allies in the alliance, worth about $15.5 billion. In 2022, the figure soared to 24 potential major arms sales with price tag of around $28 billion, including $1.24 billion worth of arms sales to possible new NATO member Finland.

Permalink Hollande backs up Merkel revelation on Donbass peace

Ex-French leader agreed with former German counterpart's description of the real purpose behind Minsk agreements | The 2014 Minsk Agreement was indeed a ploy to buy Ukraine time and should be credited for Kiev’s “successful resilience” now, former French president Francois Hollande said on Friday. Confirming former German chancellor Angela Merkel’s assessment of the truce, Hollande also blamed US weakness for the failure to deter Russia.  Earlier this month, Merkel described Minsk as “an attempt to give Ukraine time” to build up its military. Speaking with the Kyiv Independent, a pro-government Ukrainian outlet, Hollande agreed, saying Merkel was “right on this point.” 💬 “Since 2014, Ukraine has strengthened its military posture. Indeed, the Ukrainian army was completely different from that of 2014. It was better trained and equipped. It is the merit of the Minsk agreements to have given the Ukrainian army this opportunity,” Hollande said, adding that it also stopped the advance of Donbass “separatists” on Mariupol.

Permalink Total ignorance - how NATO continued to expand despite Russia's warnings

Объясняет Readovka | Total ignorance - how NATO continued to expand despite Russia's warnings | The British National Archives has recently published a number of documents, including those relating to the Kingdom's relations with our country, as well as Moscow-NATO contacts in the noughties. Judging by these materials, the West ignored Russia's warnings even then.  The Times journalists, referring to the papers made public by the Archive, focus their article on several episodes, one of which is a conversation between President Vladimir Putin and then UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, in which Putin said he did not want to be opposed to the alliance. On the other hand, quotes former Russian Defence Minister Igor Sergeev who warned against NATO's expansion to Russia's borders - Sergeev called the alliance's actions a major mistake and said that it would surely be followed by Moscow's response.  Both the carrot and the stick were completely ignored by the West. Young Russia at the time was still under the illusion of a single European space in which the rule of law reigned and everyone coexisted on an equal footing. Meanwhile, the NATO bloc was actively moving towards our borders, listening to no one and paying no attention to anything.  The West has always been a closed club hostile to us, in which the only place Russia can occupy is as a feeding ground for multinational corporations. NATO is the watchdog needed to maintain the status quo that benefits the West. Any treaties with these people are trivial not worth the paper they are written on. Fortunately, the time of mirages is finally a thing of the past, and such material only confirms the justifiability of the NWO. (www.DeepL.com/)

Permalink Report claims CIA is directing sabotage attacks inside Russia via a major NATO ally

A startling new report makes the astonishing claim that the CIA, known for fomenting revolution and wars around the globe, is helping to direct sabotage attacks inside Russia, risking all-out war with a major nuclear power. | Even as Russia’s forces struggle to pacify Ukraine, having had to retreat in recent weeks after taking ground in the country’s eastern reaches early in the February invasion, Moscow still maintains a substantial nuclear arsenal and the means to deliver warheads in ways even the U.S. could not stop, via Mach 5 Zircon hypersonic missiles.  According to investigative journalist Jack Murphy, the CIA is supposedly using long-dormant sleeper cells that have been activated by an unnamed NATO ally’s spy service, which are working to hinder Russia’s war effort from behind the lines.

Explosions hit military bases deep within Russian territory | DW News

The US resource The Drive published satellite images of Russia's Engels strategic air base dated 29 December, stating: 💬 "There is no obvious damage after the alleged Ukrainian attacks on the site on 26 and 29 December. Only 11 bombers are present, compared to 26 bombers [in the image from] 29 November". Thus, the Russian Defence Ministry strengthened the air defence of the Engels airbase and also dispersed the strategic bombers to other airfields. This, among other things, allowed Russia to launch another massive and highly effective strike against Ukraine's military administration and critical infrastructure on the same day, 29 December. The next step is to figure out why Ukrainian UAVs fly hundreds of kilometres over Russian territory in the first place. (www.DeepL.com/Translator)

Moscow’s top diplomat said the “collective West,” led by the United States, is already at war with Russia | Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has alleged that “hundreds” of American servicemen are deployed to Ukraine, claiming that US soldiers, military advisers and intelligence officers have long been direct participants in the conflict.  Sitting down with Russia’s Channel One for an interview on Wednesday, Lavrov spoke at length about Washington’s deep involvement in the hostilities in Ukraine, which has steadily grown despite repeated assurances from American leaders that US personnel would have no role in the fighting. 💬 “Dozens, maybe even hundreds of American troops are in Ukraine, they were there even before the coup,” the FM said, referring to the 2014 ouster of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich by nationalist formations and pro-Western activists. “CIA officers occupied at least one floor in the Security Service of Ukraine.”

Permalink John Shipton Interview: Daring to Hope for His Son Julian Assange

People around the world need to add their voices to the call for Julian’s release from the dungeon in Britain. | Tirelessly, John Shipton has traveled the world appealing to parliaments, politicians, civic bodies, and ordinary public members for the release of his son. John tells how a rallying call for Julian’s release is growing. Every parliament in Europe, for example, now has members explicitly calling for freedom. So too has the Australian government finally wakened up to demand the end of the barbaric mistreatment. In Latin America, North America, and other parts of the world, the clamor for justice is growing.  Only two weeks ago, major newspapers in the United States and Europe published joint editorial statements urging the Biden Administration to end the imprisonment of Assange, stating that “publishing is not a crime”. That renewed appeal for freedom is a reflection of the swelling sea-change in public support around the world for Julian Assange.  John Shipton says he is not “into hope” in the superficial meaning of the word. By that, he means a sort of cheap hope, blithe optimism, or cheery, glib ignorance. A sort of “consumerist hope” that is fickle and vanishes at the slightest obstacle.  However, what he displays in his tenacious, resilient, courageous support for his son is a much deeper hope. One of faith and commitment in the face of immense adversity. That strength inspires profound hope. An audacious hope. One that defiantly smiles in the face of cold barbarity. The kind of hope that can break chains. It is way past time that Julian Assange should be freed so that he can “come home to his kids”.

Permalink US, NATO seeking Russia’s defeat on battlefield — Lavrov

The United States and its NATO allies are seeking to win a victory over Russia on the `battlefield’ to destroy our country, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told TASS in an interview. 💬 "The actions by the collective West and their puppet [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelensky confirm the global nature of the Ukrainian crisis. It is no secret that the strategic goal of the US and its NATO allies is to win a victory over Russia on the battlefield as a mechanism of weakening or even destroying our country," Lavrov said. "Our opponents will just do about anything to achieve this goal," he added.  According to Russia’s top diplomat, the beneficiary of a ‘hot conflict’ is the United States who has been seeking to get the most out of it both economically and strategically. "Washington has also been solving a key geopolitical goal of breaking the traditional bonds between Russia and Europe and making their European satellites even more dependent on them," Lavrov emphasized.

Elena Panina (Елена Панина) | The appointment of the new WHO chief scientist, Jeremy Farrar, a Briton, went unnoticed in Russia (neither TASS nor RIA reported it) on 13 December. He is a well-known figure in his own circles and a landmark, as they say. Farrar is the director of the Wellcome Trust, a giant centre for funding medical and biological research (turnover in 2020: £464 million). An influential healthcare businessman whose name is regularly mentioned in conjunction with both Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates. Knight of the Order of the British Empire, knighted in 2019. And one of the most staunch critics of the laboratory origin of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus strain that caused the COVID-19 pandemic. It was largely through Farrar's efforts that such theories were branded as conspiracy theories in scientific journals and respectable media. And anyone who did not share the official position was subjected to unprecedented silencing and discrediting by the medical establishment. And now, from spring 2023, this gentleman will begin overseeing the WHO's Office of Scientific Affairs, "bringing together the best minds in science and innovation around the world", as the organisation's website says. This means that the suppression of dissent in global medical science is reaching a new level. And the chances of ever finding out the truth about the origins of SARS-CoV-2 are becoming vanishingly small. (DeepL.com)

Permalink ‘Pro-Nazi’ Germany and Japan have no place at UNSC – Russian ambassador

The diplomat has lashed out at “US-occupied” nations for their vote on a Moscow-sponsored resolution | Germany and Japan should not get permanent seats at the UN Security Council after voting against a Russia-sponsored resolution denouncing Nazism, a senior Russian diplomat has suggested. The decision by Berlin and Tokyo “insults the memory of the victims of German Nazism and Japanese militarism,” Oleg Stepanov, the Russian ambassador to Canada, said in remarks to RIA Novosti, which the Foreign Ministry published in full on Tuesday.  Germany’s vote casts doubt on expressions of remorse for the crimes committed by the Nazis during World War II, he stated. Japan meanwhile, has never reconciled with its dark past, considering that its government honors war criminals, he said. 💬 “It is clear that such behavior can only be possible with permission from the US, under whose multilayered informal occupation both nations remain,” the diplomat claimed.  The remarks refer to a vote at the UN General Assembly earlier this month on a Russia-proposed non-binding resolution condemning glorification of Nazism and various forms of xenophobia. The document was adopted by 120 votes in favor, with 50 against and 10 abstentions.

Permalink Scientists reconstruct ‘handsome’ face of Ramses II

Researchers used CT software to “digitally unwrap” the mummy of one of ancient Egypt's greatest pharaohs | Egyptian and British scientists have unveiled a facial reconstruction of Ramses II, having used computer tomography (CT) software to “digitally unwrap” the mummy of the famous Ancient Egyptian pharaoh. The joint scientific project allowed historians for the first time to observe what the ruler looked like at different points in his life.  The researchers say they used earlier CT scans of the pharaoh’s mummy and applied them to analysis software. They were then able to differentiate between the skull and other materials used during the embalming process and produce a 3D rendering of the skull. They then applied the average facial muscle layer measurements believed to be appropriate for ancient Egyptians to reconstruct the pharaoh’s face. 💬 "This is the only scientific facial reconstruction of Ramesses II based on the CT scan of his actual mummy,” explained professor Sahar Saleem of Cairo University, who led the project, adding that previous attempts were “mostly artistic, based on his mummy’s face.”

Permalink Ex-Russian president issues ‘nuclear catastrophe’ warning

The world will continue to teeter on the brink of disaster until Moscow receives the security guarantees it demands, Dmitry Medvedev believes | Dmitry Medvedev, the former president of Russia and current deputy chair of the country's Security Council, has issued a reminder of the dangers of nuclear brinkmanship amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In a lengthy article in the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper, he summarized his thoughts on how the year 2022 has changed the world order forever. 💬 “The only thing that stops our enemies today is the understanding that Russia will be guided by [the doctrine] on nuclear deterrence. And if there is a real threat, we will act,” Medvedev wrote in the article published on Sunday night. In such a grim scenario there will be nobody left to argue about whether that was “a retaliatory strike or a preventive one.” “Therefore, the Western world is balancing between a burning desire to maximally humiliate, dismember and destroy Russia, on the one hand, and the desire to avoid a nuclear apocalypse, on the other,” he explained. Until Russia receives the security guarantees it has demanded, the world “will continue to teeter on the brink of World War III and nuclear catastrophe,” Medvedev wrote, noting that Moscow is doing “everything we can to prevent it.”  Russia presented a list of security proposals to the US and NATO last December, including urging the West to impose a ban on Ukraine entering the military bloc, while insisting that NATO should retreat to its borders of 1997. After the US and NATO flatly refused, saying they would only be interested in limited strategic arms control talks, it became obvious that Moscow had “no one to talk and nothing to negotiate about” Medvedev argued. And when in February “Ukrainian junkies announced their desire to revive their nuclear arsenal,” Moscow had no other choice but to act, he claimed. 💬 “Our world has changed, forever. And the main question remains… what kind of future begins today?” he wrote. “New disarmament agreements are currently unrealistic and unnecessary,” Medvedev reiterated. “The sooner the guarantees of maximum security that suit our country are received, the sooner the situation will normalize.”

Permalink Controlled Explosions of Truth Bombs?

Thomas Sheridan, Christian Morris, Greg Moffitt and myself [John Waters] engage in an epic conversation centred on the film Died Suddenly, the recently-released Stew Peters documentary about the poison-shot deaths and the emerging evidence from embalmers, undertakers and insurance brokers about the destruction of human life that has followed them.

This is not a ‘review’ of the documentary so much as a discussion as to its implications heading off at multiple tangents. The discussion lasts almost two hours, covering all kinds of acute angles jutting out from the movie and its implications, including:

Does evidence even matter anymore? Do facts matter? Is it possible for a piece of journalism, no matter how powerful or authoritative, to break though the massed ranks of liars now constituting the mainstream media, and hope to shatter the paradigm of the propagandised pseudo-reality?  Is it possible that Died Suddenly will be the Trojan Horse to take the truth past the sentries into the heart of Western culture?  Or, is the power of the orchestrated Groupthink sufficient to herd people into their required pens so that they will respond to each new intervention, no matter what its revelations, as the narrative demands? Can humanity develop quickly enough the new language it needs to deal with these and other confounding aspects of the present, continuing situation? What might be the implications of the answers to these questions for the condition of our freedom? What are the implications of the Covid episode for the cultural meanings that surround humanity and its mortal state?

Died Suddenly appears to be reaching a respectably significant audience, despite being dismissed as both ‘conspiracy theory’ by the purchased media, and ‘controlled opposition’ by some of those who claim to oppose the Greatest Crime in History — a telltale paradoxical discordance that inevitably accompanies any genuine useful or threatening work in a time of near-universal industrial lying Or, perhaps it’s really a sign of great potency when you are shot at by both sides.
