Permalink Russian Defense: Washington is preparing provocations in Ukraine

Moscow, SANA- The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the United States is preparing provocations using chemical or chemical weapons.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the United States is preparing provocations using chemical, biological or nuclear weapons in Ukraine with the aim of blaming Russian forces for this. The commander of the radiological, chemical and biological defense forces of the Russian army, Igor Kirillov, said in a briefing today:

💬 “The Russian Ministry of Defense has information about the preparation of provocations by the United States with the aim of accusing the Russian armed forces."

Kirilov referred to the provocative statements that came regularly in March and April of this year by leaders of Western countries regarding the danger of Russia's use of weapons of mass destruction, pointing out that "the United States has more than once implemented such projects to achieve political ends." The Russian general stressed that the most prominent example of this goes back to the speech delivered by former US Secretary of State Colin Powell to the UN Security Council on February 5, 2003, recalling that “a bottle full of washing powder in his hand was used as a pretext to invade Iraq and caused the deaths of about half a million people.”

On the report published by the Russian Ministry of Defence (Russian MFA / Maria Zakharova) 💬 This is more than serious. Clearly, the original US plan was to step up economic pressure on Russia to make it reconsider its legitimate security interests. That didn’t work. Now the US is going to use WMD; in fact, this is a game that crosses the red line. If this happens, the number of victims will be incalculable. Each of them will be on the conscience of the American strategists sitting in the White House, the State Department and the Pentagon, and on the conscience of their puppets in Kiev, if they still have any left.

Permalink Minsk II: Two Words You’ll Never Hear on Mainstream News

Ask a hundred Americans and you’ll be lucky to find even one who’s ever heard of Minsk II. But ask those same Americans how the Ukraine war started, and you’ll likely get "Russian President Putin woke up one day and decided to re-establish the Soviet empire, starting with Ukraine." That is because our government and its slavishly loyal media have created a false narrative for maximum propaganda to support pouring billions in weaponry into the Ukraine war zone, ensuring that death and destruction will proceed endlessly.

Minsk II was the 2015 agreement hammered out by Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany to end the civil war in Ukraine between the pro west, ultra nationalist government and the pro Russian Ukrainians in the eastern Donbas provinces of Lugansk and Donetsk. [...] The U.S. essentially blew up whatever chance for peaceful resolution by aiding a coup which violently removed Russian leaning President Yanukovych, replacing him with an ultra nationalist government under Petro Poroshenko. Thus began the civil war in the Donbas that has killed over 14,000 Ukrainians in Kiev’s effort to subjugate and marginalize the hated Russian leaning Ukrainians. And leading the carnage for the past 3 years is current president Volodymyr Zelensky.

Permalink Donbass. Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow. The history of the Donbass conflict

Vanessa Beeley: It’s been almost seven years since a US-inspired coup divided Ukraine and war erupted in the country’s east. The Donetsk and Lugansk republics, next to Russia's border, are collectively known as Donbass, a coal-mining industrial centre. The two declared independence from Kiev in 2014, and civil war erupted.

There are mass graves scattered across Donbass, from which bodies of civilians are regularly exhumed. Yet, while the shelling and killings continued, Western media remained silent. According to UN estimates, over 13,000 people have been killed in the conflict.

The Civil War/Proxy War in Ukraine and the Russian Offensive | Monthly Review | As Leon Panetta, former director of the CIA (2009–11) and secretary of defense (2011-–13) under the Barack Obama administration, declared in mid–March with regard to Washington’s role in the war: 💬 The only way to basically deal with Putin right now is to double down ourselves. Which means to provide as much military aid as necessary to the Ukrainians so that they can continue the battle against the Russians.… We are engaged in a conflict here. It is a proxy war with Russia whether we say so or not. That effectively is what is going on. And for that reason, we have to be sure we are providing as much weaponry as possible.… Make no mistake about it, diplomacy is going nowhere unless we have leverage. And the way you get leverage is by frankly going in and killing Russians. That is what the Ukrainians have to do. We have to continue the war effort.… Because this is a power game. Permalink After barring ships, Turkey bans Russian flights to Syria

Turkey has closed its airspace to Russian military and civilian flights to Syria after notifying Moscow, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said Saturday.

We were giving permissions in three-month intervals. The latest one was until April,” the minister said in an interview with the press during his flight to Latin America, stating that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had informed his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. “Henceforth the flights have stopped,” Çavuşoğlu added, saying that the process is being conducted through dialogue on both the Montreux Convention and other matters.

Permalink Germany ‘can’t isolate’ Russia – former chancellor

Gerhard Schroeder said that Germany needs Russian energy, and can’t afford to break away from Moscow.

Hounded by the international media and hated in his home city for his close ties to Russia, former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder insists that Germany needs Russia’s vast energy supplies to maintain its industrial power. [He] remains personally close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, [and] has faced scathing criticism at home for his role in fostering Germany’s dependence on Russian gas (although his successor, Angela Merkel, refused to lessen that reliance).

As Germany’s leaders distance themselves from calls to embargo Russian oil and gas imports, the New York Times published an interview on Saturday with Gerhard Schroeder, the country’s former chancellor who oversaw the construction of the first Russia-Germany Nord Stream pipeline and went on to advise multiple Russian energy companies. Schroeder insists that Russia and Germany need each other:

💬 “They need oil and gas to pay for their budget. And we need oil and gas to heat and to keep the economy going,” he stated. “German industry needs the raw materials that Russia has. It’s not just oil and gas, it’s also rare earths. And these are raw materials that cannot simply be substituted,” Schroeder added.

Permalink The United States is facing a mental health crisis (.pdf) ( Dr. Joseph Mercola)

Depression and Anxiety Are at All-Time Highs: According to the most recent Household Pulse Survey, conducted by the U.S. NationalCenter for Health Statistics, 27.3% of American adults now struggle with depressionand/or anxiety, and that’s in addition to the 40 million Americans who report substanceuse disorders and the 14 million who have more serious mental illnesses.

Truth Is a Big Part of the Remedy: This fearmongering is again based on the lie that the PCR test can identify an activeinfection (it can’t), and the false idea that asymptomatic spread is a driver of infection(it’s not). Time magazine also promotes the false idea that the COVID shot is “extremelyeffective at preventing severe disease” and that Omicron causes milder symptoms onlyin “healthy, vaccinated people,” even though real-world data suggest otherwise on both accounts. There’s no mention of the fact that the COVID shots may be responsible for more than1.2 million injuries and are, by any metric, the most dangerous drugs ever to bereleased. There’s also no mention of the fact that most people are likely immune to Xe atthis point, as it arose right on the heels of a major Omicron surge.

Totalitarianism Is Built Through Fear: Let’s face it, they need us to be fearful because, otherwise, they know we won’t complywith what’s coming next — digital identities, biosensors and emotional monitors, vaccinepassports, the green new deal (which will virtually eliminate your ability to travel any significant distance), programmable central bank digital currencies (which will give the issuers complete control over your spending) and much more.

Permalink German secret service makes 17,000 Wikipedia edits

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung revealed that the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) - which oversees the internet data of both Germany’s foreign intelligence agency (Federal Office for Information Security, or BND) and its domestic services (Bundesverfassungsschutz, aka BfV) - introduced 17,000 rewrites on Wikipedia.

It was already known that Wikipedia is monitored globally by a group of “former” British MI6 agents and that the Israeli government edits all articles relating to the history, countries and actors of the Middle East, but we now discover that German officials have also weighed in with their own ideology. Thus they reshaped not only articles relating to political issues (such as the question of Russian gas supplies), but also pieces targeting various personalities and journalists in general.

It’s safe to say that if he did fake his own disappearance and people find out he just completely destroyed a perfectly good reputation and financial benefits that come with it, and that’s where I look down on the other side of the fence and ask, he wouldn’t risk that, would he? He’s under investigation and just spent a week with the SBU presumably not making cupcakes and the first thing he tweets from his new account is the same message critical of the Zelensky regime? Is this the behavior of a guy taken by the SBU and disappeared for a week and forced to stay in Kharkiv while he’s “under investigation”?

Permalink Missing Link in a UN Cold Case?

Six decades after the unexplained death of United Nations Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold and 15 other people in a plane crash in Central Africa, a new discovery in French government archives may bring researchers closer to the truth and answer a famous Cold War riddle: Who killed Hammarskjold?

The discovery of an important clue happened in November 2021, following years-long research into the death of the secretary-general. It began with a yellow folder, whose cover was marked with an “H” in blue and the words “TRÈS SECRET” written across the top in a red stamp. “H” stood for Dag Hammarskjold, it turned out. The file from the French intelligence service (SDECE), dated July 1961 and destined for French Prime Minister Michel Debré, was kept in the French National Archives.

Gonzalo Lira said he had been taken by the Ukrainian Security Service last Friday.

Chilean-American blogger Gonzalo Lira, who went missing in the Ukrainian city of Kharkov a week ago, has appeared online on Friday, revealing that he had been held by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU). Speaking about his condition, the 54-year-old said that he was “fine physically,” but “a little rattled” and “a little bit discombobulated.” Lira made it clear that he was forbidden from revealing any details about what had happened to him in detention.

💬 “I’m in Kharkov. I’m OK. I just want to say that I’m back online.” Lira said in short video chat with journalist Alex Christoforou on The Duran channel on YouTube. “I was picked up by the SBU on Friday, April 15.”

💬 “I’m still in Kharkov and for the time being I cannot leave. The authorities here told me that I cannot leave the city,” he said, adding that his computer and phone were taken away and that he didn’t have access to his accounts on social media. “There seems to have been like a lot of interest in my case, which is wonderful. Thank you. But there are a lot of other people, who are frankly more deserving of the attention.”

Permalink EU: Policing: France proposes massive EU-wide DNA sweep, automated exchange of facial images

The French Presidency of the Council is seeking EU-wide comparisons of every DNA profile held by police forces against all those held by other national police forces, as well as EU policing agency Europol, as part of plans to upgrade the ‘Prüm’ network of police databases. It also hopes to automate the police exchange of facial images by eliminating requirements for human review.

The proposals come in an amended version of a proposal (pdf) originally published by the European Commission in December 2021, which will upgrade the Prüm network of DNA, fingerprint and vehicle registration databases to include facial images and “police records”, as well as driving licence data, if the Council has its way. The Prüm system currently allows law enforcement authorities to compare a DNA profile – for example, taken from a criminal suspect or found at a crime scene – and use it to run a search against all other participating member states’ DNA databases. As well as EU member states, this also includes the UK.

Permalink An American journalist goes missing in Ukraine. The silence is deafening

Gonzalo Lira’s disappearance should have triggered outrage and calls for an investigation by the “freedom-loving” US government and media.

Scott Ritter | My personal journey into the drama-infused existence of Gonzalo Lira began in mid-February 2022, when I appeared as part of a panel discussion organized by Joe Lauria of Consortium News (CN), which included the British writer Alexander Mercouris. It was just prior to the Russian “special military operation” kicking off in Ukraine. Alexander and I subsequently appeared on several CN-hosted panels to discuss the war in Ukraine, and in conversations following the broadcast he mentioned a fellow he called “Gonzo Lira” and asked if I followed him. I indicated that I did not, and Alexander replied that I should, as “Gonzo” resided in Kharkov, and had some first-hand insights into the conflict that I might find interesting. Alexander asked if he could forward my contact information to Gonzo Lira, and I agreed.

I must admit that I did not follow up on Alexander’s recommendation to follow Gonzo and had forgotten about our conversation about Mr. Lira when, sometime in late March, I was suddenly contacted by the man himself, who asked if I would agree to be interviewed by him for his YouTube channel. I did a quick Google search, and read several items about Gonzalo Lira, AKA Coach Red Pill, including a particularly unflattering article written by Mark Hay of The Daily Beast. I quickly decided that if Gonzo was making The Daily Beast uncomfortable, then I was more than happy to be interviewed by him.

Permalink Biden official admits US refused to address Ukraine and NATO before Russian invasion

Prior to the war, many analysts said it would be reasonable to deny or delay Kyiv’s ascension into the Atlantic Alliance to stave off conflict.

A senior Biden administration official recently admitted that prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the United States made no effort to address one of Vladimir Putin’s most often stated top security concerns — the possibility of Ukraine’s membership into NATO. When asked on a podcast published on Wednesday by War on the Rocks — a U.S. foreign and defense policy analysis website — whether NATO expansion into Ukraine “was not on the table in terms of negotiations” before the invasion, Derek Chollet, counselor to Secretary of State Antony Blinken replied that “it wasn’t.” Chollet’s remarks confirm suspicions by many critics who believe the Biden administration wasn’t doing enough — including offering to deny or delay Ukraine’s NATO membership — to prevent Russia from launching a war against Ukraine.

Permalink CIA Funded Experiments On Danish Orphans For Decades

An extraordinary Danish Radio report exposed how scores of children in Denmark, many of them orphans, were subject to CIA-funded experiments for at least two decades.

The purpose of these activities remains unknown, as authorities continue to actively suppress the truth of what happened in the 1960s and early 1970s. The startling exposé is based on the work of documentarian Per Wennick, who was one of 311 participants in the mysterious trials. The children never learned the objective of the tortuous assessments to which they were exposed, even after they ended. Such trials are in conflict with the Nuremberg Code, which enforces the vital requirement of obtaining consent from human subjects in all medical research.
