Iran's President Urges UN to Probe into 9/11 Attacks
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, called for a UN probe into September 11, 2001 attacks in a bid to find major factors behind the issue. "At least, you are expected to form an independent fact-finding committee trusted by regional countries on major elements behind September 11 attack which was carried out as the main pretext to attack the Middle East," Ahmadinejad said in his letter. The Iranian president also asked for investigation into NATO intention for presence in Afghanistan and Iraq and results of nine-year presence and conflict.
