Permalink Sayyed Nasrallah: 'Israel' mired in failure; US intimidation futile

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah speaks at the one-week anniversary of the martyrdom of Resistance leader Wissam Tawil, addressing developments in Gaza and the region. | "Israel" is mired in failure and is stuck in "a deep hole" it has dug in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said.  Speaking at the one-week anniversary of the martyrdom of Resistance leader and martyr Wissam Tawil (Hajj Jawad), today, Sunday, Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the Resistance of Gaza and its people, calling their steadfastness "legendary". "For one hundred days, Gaza and its people continue to steadfastly resist, in a legendary manner [that history has not witnessed]," the Lebanese Resistance leader confirmed.  Pointing to the role the Palestinian Resistance's Military Media had to play in archiving and publicizing the events, resistance operations, and battles in Gaza, Sayyed Nasrallah said, "Gaza's Resistance has creatively responded to the aggression, and the Military Media has had a major role in revealing its heroism in contrast to Israeli secrecy [on developments]." "Israel is mired in failure and stuck in a deep hole it has dug in the Gaza Strip, as its analysts confirm, and it has not achieved any victory or even an 'image' of victory," the Secretary-General of Hezbollah explained, highlighting "Israel's" military failures in the Gaza Strip.  Reflecting on the mounting Israeli losses, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that this point is further confusing the occupation, especially considering the reports revealed by Israeli media regarding the presence of “4,000 disabled soldiers in its military ranks in [only] 100 days, a number that may rise and reach 30,000." When the war stops, the enemy will have to deal with the catastrophe that befell it as a result of the Resistance in Gaza and other supporting fronts, the Lebanese Resistance leader stressed. MORE.

Permalink Gonzalo Lira: The US government has allowed Ukraine to kill an American journalist who criticised ‘dictator’ Zelensky

In a world of cowardice and lies, telling the truth where – and when – it really matters takes courage. And it can cost you your life. | So, Gonzalo Lira is dead. As he warned in his last video message before being disappeared (this time, as it turned out, forever) by the Ukrainian regime, his political journalism has cost him his life.  A successful social media commentator and American citizen, Lira died while incarcerated by Ukraine’s repression apparatus for his criticism of the Western and Ukrainian position on the war against Russia. His terms were often direct, even harsh and polemical. But he was not a spy or some sort of subversive influence agent. He was transparent and open to a fault, standing with his own name – and life – for everything he said. He was a political prisoner (yes, I agree with Tucker Carlson on this one); the official Ukrainian charges against him are a ludicrous disgrace.  The immediate cause of his death is virtually certain to have been severe, prolonged, and systematic neglect, which led to his indirect killing – fully deliberate or not – by a condition (pneumonia and complications) that is perfectly treatable. In legal terms, this qualifies as, at least, manslaughter or even murder, committed by Ukrainian officers of the “law” and those issuing their orders.

Permalink Ukraine to defend UK 'within 24 hours' if attacked – PM

Under a new bilateral security accord, Kiev would have to protect UK in the face of a Russian military attack, Denis Shmygal has said | The security agreement recently concluded between Kiev and London is “bilateral” and will guarantee Ukraine’s military support to the UK if Russia were to attack the country, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has said.  Shmygal was referring to the security cooperation agreement that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed with Ukraine’s President Vladimir Zelensky on Friday. The pact stipulates support for Ukraine’s future integration into NATO and guarantees “prevention and active deterrence of, and counter-measures against, any military escalation and/or a new aggression by the Russian Federation.”

British troops in Ukraine would be ‘declaration of war’ – Medvedev (RT.com) | Moscow would consider the open deployment of British troops to Ukraine as a “declaration of war,” former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has warned. He was responding to a visit to Kiev on Friday by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is set to sign a security agreement with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.  Sunak’s arrival in the Ukrainian capital is meant to “set out a major new package of support and reaffirm the close UK-Ukraine partnership,” his office said in a statement. The security document is a follow-up to agreements reached by G7 and NATO members last year, it noted. The statement did not mention any plans for a British military deployment in Ukraine.
