Permalink 'Israel' borrowed $6bln via private investors to fund war on Gaza

Dani Naveh, chief executive of "Israel Bonds", says that most of the investment was derived from the US and Europe. | Since October 7, $6 billion has been borrowed by “Israel” through international debt investors, which included $5.1 billion across three new bond issues and six top-ups of existing dollar-euro-denominated bonds, and more than $1 billion of fundraising through a US firm.  According to investors, they were issued in so-called private placements, during which securities are not provided to the public market but to select investors instead. The choice for private placement could be to increase funds for the war quickly or without garnering unwanted attention.  Of two dollar bonds issued this month, “Israel” is paying coupons of 6.25% and 6.5% on bonds maturing in 4 and 8 years, which are much higher than benchmark US Treasury yields ranging between 4.5% and 4.7%, arranged by Goldman Sachs and Bank of America respectively when the bonds were issued. [...] It is significant to note that Galit Altstein wrote for Bloomberg News that the ongoing war on Gaza is causing the Israeli economy significant losses, estimated at about $260 million daily.

Permalink Norway Parl’t Adopts Resolution to recognize Palestinian State

Norway’s parliament has adopted a resolution calling on the government to be ready to recognize an “independent” Palestinian state. | The proposal was made on Thursday by the ruling coalition to counter a resolution by smaller parties calling for an immediate recognition of a Palestinian state. The motion passed with an overwhelming majority in parliament.

Permalink UNSC Calls for Urgent, Extended Humanitarian Pauses in Gaza

The UN Security Council on Wednesday adopted its first resolution since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza, calling for “urgent and extended humanitarian pauses” in the besieged enclave to address the catastrophic crisis for Palestinian civilians. | The resolution, introduced by Malta, also called for “corridors throughout the Gaza Strip for a sufficient number of days” to safeguard civilians, particularly children, ambassador Vanessa Frazier told the Council. It additionally asked for the unconditional release of captives held in Gaza.

Permalink Israel using Gaza war to forcibly transfer Palestinians from South Hebron Hills

Since the war in Gaza began, Israel has greatly increased its efforts to drive Palestinian shepherding communities out of their homes and land in the South Hebron Hills, including in the area designated Firing Zone 918. The communities are being subjected to unusually extreme violence on a daily level, carried out by settlers with state backing and military and police support. | The attacks have been virtually incessant, with little relief. By night and by day, armed settlers have entered residents’ homes, assaulted them and overturned their belongings, taking away their mobile phones to prevent documentation. They have destroyed solar power systems and water containers, stolen livestock and in some communities, as in Khirbet Susiya, threatened to kill residents if they do not leave within a short period.  For many years, Israel has sought to take control of this area by making the Palestinian residents’ lives so unbearable, they abandon their homes and land seemingly of their own accord. This strategy is two-pronged: officially, the authorities impose extreme restrictions on construction and development in these communities, and forbid them from hooking up to power and water grids; unofficially, settlers carry out systematic violence against the communities, driving shepherds away, restricting access to water sources and encroaching on pastureland.  In May 2022, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled the state had the authority to declare much of the South Hebron Hills a firing zone and expel some 1,000 Palestinian residents, who have lived there for generations, long before Israel’s occupation of the West Bank in 1967. The court’s decision was given 22 years after the initial petition was filed. During that time, Israel put the residents’ lives on hold and prevented them from building homes and public structures or developing basic infrastructure such as water, electricity and roads.

Permalink Australia to Ban Cash, Mandate ‘Digital Passport’ for Public

The Australian government is moving to ban all physical cash and mandate that all members of the public will require a “digital passport” to take part in society. | The World Economic Forum-infiltrated government is laying the groundwork for the establishment of “cashless societies” as part of a broader scheme to clamp down on public freedoms, according to a news report from Australia. The government is claiming that the “digital passport” seeks to tackle “bad behavior” from dissenting citizens. [...] The European Parliament and member states have reached an agreement on the mandatory rollout of Bill Gates’ Digital ID which has inbuilt features designed to exclude people from participating in society if they do not comply with the globalist agenda.  The elite has always denied these plans, describing anybody who dared to expose their plans as “conspiracy theorists” who need to be muzzled on social media, frozen out of society, and in some cases thrown in prison. But now the globalists are making their move.
