British star calls for a cultural boycott on the Zionist regime
A well-known British musician has in an open letter called on his fellow musicians to boycott the Zionist Israeli regime following the example of the cultural boycott against the former South African Apartheid regime. ● “Given the inability or unwillingness of our governments [to act] …. I write to you now, my brothers and sisters … to ask you to join with me, and thousands of other artists around the world, to declare a cultural boycott on Israel,” Roger Waters said in his letter published by Electronic Intifada website. Waters said the Zionist regime has been found guilty of major breaches of human rights and the international law independently by international organizations, United Nations officials and the International Court of Justice. ● He touched on two such cases saying the regime has been identified as perpetrating the “crime of Apartheid”, including in a statement on March 9, 2012 by UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and the “crime of ethnic cleansing” including in East Jerusalem (al-Quds).
