Obviously literacy (and education) does not cause this trend. Seventeen years ago digging was started just across from my home in Northern Jerusalem to lay a foundation for an overpass bridge that was being built. Roma migrants are returned by force to places where they are at risk of human rights violations, according to Thomas Hammarberg, European Commissioner for Human Rights. Greeks are ambivalent about an austerity package and are against most of the specific measures - unless they affect people they consider privileged.
