Permalink War and Regrets in Ukraine

Douglas Macgregor | Of the Vietnam War, Henry Kissinger, former national security advisor and secretary of State under Presidents Nixon and Ford, said, “We should never have been there.” Before long, Americans, even the politicians inside the Beltway, will reach the same conclusion about Washington’s Ukrainian proxy war against Russia.  No one in the White House, the Senate, or the House consciously set out to turn the proxy Ukrainian war with Moscow into a contest of “competitive societal collapse” between Russia and NATO. But here we are. No one imagined that the Biden administration and the bipartisan war party would drive Americans and Europeans into a political, military, and economic valley of death, from which there is no easy escape. Yet that is precisely what is happening.

According to the findings of German research, one in every 700 children under the age of five who received the Pfizer mRNA Covid vaccine was hospitalized with severe adverse events (SAE), and one in every 200 children had "symptoms that were currently ongoing and thus of unknown significance." The study, "Comparative Safety of the BNT162b2 Messenger RNA COVID-19 Vaccine vs Other Approved Vaccines in Children Younger Than 5 Years," was published in JAMA on Tuesday, two days before the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted to recommend COVID-19 to be included in the 2023 childhood immunization schedule. Participants in this retrospective cohort study were German parents or caregivers who had enrolled their children in a Covid-19 vaccination program at 21 outpatient care facilities.

Permalink Nord Stream Conspiracy Thread

eugyppius | On 26 September, massive explosions destroyed both lines of Nord Stream 1 and one line Nord Stream 2, cutting crucial potential natural gas supplies from Russia to Germany. Nord Stream 1 had been idle since August; Nord Stream 2 was completed in late 2021 but never commissioned because of the tensions over Ukraine. The attack happened just as German politicians began to return from holiday and realise that the anti-Russia sanctions regime portends the worst energy crisis for central Europe since World War II.  Sweden blockaded the attacked Nord Stream pipes to conduct their own investigation of the explosions and seized unspecified evidence. Directly afterwards they classified their inquiry and refused to jointly investigate the sabotage with Denmark and Germany. Whatever proofs they have will never see the light of day.

Permalink The Totalitarian Hand: State Responses To The Torture Of Julian Assange And What It Means For all of Us

While Julian Assange rots in prison for publishing journalism, clinical psychologist Dr Lissa Johnson explains some of the science behind how we got here, and also how we push back | On Sunday June 28th 2019, Western democracy arrived at an historic crossroads. Moving forward from this day, citizens of Western nations will head down one of two paths.  The first path leads towards genuine democracies, wherein governments are accountable to the publics they govern, and publics have a right to know what leaders do in their name. It is a path along which a free press fosters an informed electorate, capable of making informed decisions at election time. Such principles are not only fundamental prerequisites for democracy, but essential protections against government abuses of all kinds.  The second path heads down totalitarian terrain, currently being blazed by the Trump administration, wherein governments decide who is free to speak and who is not, including who is a ‘journalist’ and who is not, by granting themselves the power to silence those who make them look bad. This pathway not only spells death to democracy and the public’s right to know, it is a recipe for state-sanctioned abuse.

Permalink RE: Thematic Discussion on Nuclear Weapons in the First Committee of the 77th Session of the Un General Assembly (A Russian Perspective)

💬 We would like to draw attention to the fact that NATO, which openly opposes us, defiantly defines itself as a nuclear alliance. US nuclear weapons are deployed on the territories of non-nuclear allies of the United States. The employment scenarios are being practiced in the course of exercises with engagement of the military personnel from non-nuclear countries. The anti-Russian thrust of such steps is not being concealed while further advancing of these capabilities to our borders is being publicly suggested. Such irresponsible actions increase the strategic risks, including those of nuclear nature, as well as hinder disarmament efforts. (Read in full)

Permalink Russian Seamen Harassed, Exposed to Hatred — Danish Trade Magazine

Since the start of Moscow's special operation in Ukraine, Russians in Europe and the West in general have been slapped with sanctions and faced discrimination, hostility and humiliation, including violent attacks — a process facilitated by lopsided media coverage and prejudiced political framing.

Russian sailors are hated, discriminated against and treated badly by both authorities and their peers around the world, the Danish trade magazine Lederne Søfart reported.  Carsten Ostenfeldt, who has a top position in the large international ship management company Anglo-Eastern, told the magazine that Russians are directly harassed during port calls, as the authorities, for instance, may spend up to six hours looking through their passports and papers.

💬 “Our Russian sailors are solid people who have been with us for many years, but we are in a situation where having Russian crew on board can cause major problems in ports,” Ostenfeldt said.   “In certain cases, we have to refrain from sending the Russian sailors on board, because it can cause problems both for them and for us. It's a real shame for the people affected."

Permalink The U.S. And the Europeans Have Gone Too Far

Mohammad Marandi / Eva K Bartlett | 💬 "I think it is obvious: the U.S. and the Europeans have gone too far. They have simultaneously escalated the conflict with Iran, with Russia, with China and with other countries. I think they are now trying to achieve much more than they are able to. And the war and the sanctions that the U.S. is imposing on the oil-producing countries - will lead to enough consequences for themselves as well. Iraq is destroyed almost to the ground, Syria and Libya and Sudan and Venezuela are all under sanctions for no legitimate reason. This means that the U.S. is reducing oil production all over the world. And now that they have imposed sanctions on Russia, they have caused a huge energy crisis. [...] Obviously, Russia and Iran will cooperate because they are targeting the U.S. and against Europe. Russia and Iran are concerned about NATO's support for extremists, whether it's ISIS* or the Nazis in Ukraine. There is really no difference between the two."

To the south of it in Myrnyy, and to the north near Terny Podi.  On the Kryvorizhzhya section, Ukrainian troops attempted to advance from the north towards Sukhanov. The objective was to break through to Berislav and Novaya Kakhovka.  On the Donetsk front, Russian troops carried out assault actions near Novomikhailovka. They also attacked again the Ukrainian armed forces' stronghold in Marinka. Additionally, Russian army units attempted an offensive near Nevelskoye. And to the north of Donetsk, they carried out an assault on the village of Keramik. Thus trying to encircle the Ukrainian grouping in Novobakhmutivka. And to the north-east they were advancing on New York. To the north of Horlivka, Russian troops attacked near the Mayorskaya railway station.  The Wagner PMC continues fierce fighting with the Ukrainian garrison in Bakhmut. To the south-east of the city, they carried out assault actions near Otradivka and Opytne.  On the Luhansk direction, Russian troops on the ground attacked AFU positions in Bilohorivka, trying to push them back beyond the oblast's borders. Russian Demiurg | Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda discussed the situation in Kherson Region. It is certain that the Russian army will fight for Kherson and has no plans to leave the city following the civilians.  There is only one reason for the removal of our civilians from Kherson: the small number of pontoon crossings and barges now taking people out. The military fears are quite logical - if serious shelling of Kherson and very serious fighting on the outskirts of Kherson begin, civilians will start leaving Kherson in droves, occupying all the routes on which military equipment should move.  It is necessary to allow everyone who wants to leave the city to leave without panic, and then quietly activate the existing transport lines to deliver ammunition, soldiers, and military equipment to Kherson.  The battle for Kherson is inevitable, and it is gratifying that the preparations for it are being made in earnest. Permalink Majority of US Waterways Contaminated by Cancer-Linked ‘Forever Chemicals,’ Analysis Reveals

Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs) have been used in many consumer and industrial products since the 1940s. Often used to make products water-resistant, they break down very slowly over time and tend to build up in both the human body and the environment. PFAs have been linked to cancer and disease in humans.

Waterkeeper Alliance, a worldwide network of environmental organizations focusing on clean water, recently determined that the majority of US waterways were polluted with cancer-linked “forever chemicals.”  The agency conducted its analysis of US waterways in May and July of this year, taking 228 samples from 114 different rivers and streams across 34 states and the District of Columbia. Researchers found that 83% of the samples were found to have PFAs at levels that exceed federal limits, with 70% of those water sources detecting the most dangerous kinds of chemicals: PFOS and PFOA.

Covid-19 was not a killer virus. The MSM was the real virus. When the CDC, NHS, and other ‘health care’ organisations did a recount of the amount of deaths truly connected to Covid-19, it turned out to be nothing more than a mild flue. How did the authorities brainwash the people into believing their lies? By means of an effective torture program, as confirmed by Amnesty International and others. Eight ways to effectively torture people into obedience had been let loose on the population. Most people succumbed. Don’t miss this episode in order to understand how the human mind works and how it could ever get to this point.

Permalink Life Expectancy Falls Again in ‘Historic’ Decline

According to the latest statistics, life expectancy in the United States dropped precipitously in 2020 and 2021. In 2019, the average life span of Americans of all ethnicities was nearly 79 years. By the end of 2021, life expectancy had dropped to 76 — a loss of nearly three years
Even small declines in life expectancy of a tenth or two-tenths of a year mean that on a population level, a lot more people are dying prematurely than they really should be
Native Americans and Alaska Natives have the highest rate of diabetes out of any ethnic groups — 1 in 7 — and obesity is also common. Both of these conditions have been identified as comorbidities that make you more susceptible to serious COVID-19 infection
Aside from COVID, causes of death listed as contributors to this loss of life expectancy include accidental deaths, drug overdoses, heart disease, chronic liver disease and cirrhosis. However, excess deaths from all causes are wildly elevated, across age groups
That life expectancy has dropped by three years since the start of the pandemic can be explained by the simple fact that the primary “remedy” for COVID — the experimental mRNA COVID jabs — are the most lethal drugs in medical history

The destruction of this Earth station -- at least for the time being -- has totally shut down Ukraine's secure government communications network, and has stopped the flow of NATO intelligence to Ukraine's government distribution network. Permalink Russian General in Charge of Ukraine Operation Speaks Out

Sergey Surovikin described the situation as “tense” and has not ruled out that he might have to make difficult decisions:

💬 “The NATO command of the armed forces of Ukraine has long been demanding offensive operations in the Kherson direction from the Kiev regime, regardless of any casualties – both in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and among the civilian population.”  “These actions can lead to the destruction of the infrastructure of this large industrial center and massive casualties among the civilian population.”

The Russian military is aware of Kiev’s plans to use “prohibited” means of waging war in the Kherson area, Surovikin added. Namely, Ukraine is preparing a massive strike on the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant, located on the Dnieper River, as well as launching massive rocket and artillery attacks on Kherson itself.  In the ongoing effort to dislodge the Russian military from its positions, Kiev is pouring its reserves en masse into the frontline, the general said. The vast majority of those reserves are “territorial defense units, who have not been properly trained,” Surovikin added. Such troops have low morale, thus they are propped up by “barrier squads” composed of hardline nationalists “who shoot anyone trying to leave the battlefield,” he claimed.   The enemy’s daily losses amount to hundreds of casualties. We have a different strategy.

💬 We are not aiming at fast-paced offensives, we spare every soldier and methodically grind the enemy’s attacking forces. This not only minimizes our own losses, but also significantly reduces the amount of victims among the civilian population.

Swedish newspaper Expressen released the first underwater images of the ruptured Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline on Tuesday. The Russia-Germany gas line was critically damaged in an act of apparent sabotage last month | The video footage, shot 80 meters below the surface of the Baltic Sea, shows long tears in the seabed leading up to the blown-apart pipe. At least 50 meters of the concrete-reinforced steel pipe are missing, the Swedish newspaper reported.  The Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines – which were built to deliver Russian natural gas directly to Germany – lost pressure abruptly on September 26, following a series of underwater explosions off the Danish island of Bornholm, within the economic zones of Denmark and Sweden.  Germany, Denmark and Sweden are conducting separate investigations into the blasts, with a preliminary report by Copenhagen Police on Tuesday stating that "powerful explosions" caused the damage. Swedish investigators reached a similar conclusion earlier this month, blaming the blasts on “gross sabotage.”
