Permalink Finland is Ready to Place US Nuclear Weapons on the Russian Border

If Finland becomes a full member of NATO, nuclear weapons can be deployed on its territory, including areas bordering Russia. This was reported by the Iltalehti newspaper. | The Finnish military department stressed that back in July, Helsinki, when considering the issue of the country's entry into the North Atlantic Alliance, promised not to interfere with any activity of the Western bloc in Finland, including the deployment of NATO bases and weapons.  Earlier, Poland announced that it was holding talks with the US government on the deployment of nuclear weapons. President Andrzej Duda said that Warsaw has the potential to participate in the joint use of such weapons. According to the chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defense Affairs of Poland, Yaroslav Kaczynski, such a measure "will increase the intimidation of Russia."  In response to a similar passage by the Poles, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed concern about the appearance of a large number politicianswho are ready to deploy NATO nuclear weapons in their countries, irresponsibly playing with this topic.  Meanwhile, according to the Federation of American Scientists, the US already has about 100 nuclear warheads in Europe, located in Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey.

Elena Panina | Helsinki will allow NATO to deploy nuclear weapons on its border with Russia | Finland's draft law on NATO membership includes no restrictions on the deployment of nuclear weapons in its territory, nor on the establishment of NATO bases and the presence of NATO troops. The respective pledges were made by the heads of the Finnish MoD and Foreign Ministry.  The entry of the Finns and Swedes into the bloc has already been approved by 28 of the 30 member states of the alliance - except Hungary and Turkey.  The F-35A fighters of the Finnish Air Force could become carriers of TNWs - American B61-12 bombs. Helsinki is buying 64 such aircraft: their deployment will take place between 2026 and 2030.  Finland will increase Russia's total border with NATO by 1,324 km. An immediate threat is posed to St Petersburg. (Translated with www.DeepL.com/)(Image above: © Ole Andreas Vekve/Forsvaret)

Permalink Moscow Rips Up Grain Deal After Terrorist Attack on Black Sea Fleet

Russia has suspended its participation in the grain deal since 29 October due to attacks on Black Sea Fleet ships and civilian vessels in Sevastopol Bay. 💬 "In view of the terrorist attack carried out by the Kiev regime on 29 October this year with the participation of UK experts against the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian vessels involved in securing the 'grain corridor', the Russian side is suspending its participation in the implementation of agreements on the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports," the Defence Ministry said in a statement.

Permalink New Details Emerge of Drone Attack in Crimea

A naval drone targeting the Russian base in Sevastopol was launched from a vessel moving through the grain corridor, Russia says | Those behind a major drone attack on the Russian naval base in the Crimean port city of Sevastopol made active use of a UN-brokered Black Sea grain corridor, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement after studying the wreckage of the unmanned combat vehicles.  The ministry’s specialists retrieved the navigational modules of the drones destroyed by the Russian warships and naval aviation, the statement said, adding that the Canadian-made devices stored data on the vehicles’ path to their target.  Most of them were launched from the Ukrainian Black Sea coast, not far from the port city of Odessa, the Russian military said. “The naval drones were then moving within the security zone of the grain corridor before changing course and heading towards the Russian naval base in Sevastopol,” the statement said. Navigational data from at least one naval drone shows that it was launched from a sea location within the grain corridor security zone, the ministry added. According to Russian specialists, it might have been launched from a civilian vessel chartered by Ukraine or its “western backers” to transport Ukrainian agricultural produce. [...] The attack prompted Russia to indefinitely suspend its participation in the deal, a move that has sparked an angry reaction from the US. Russia blamed Kiev for the attack, which it claimed was “carried out under the supervision of British experts.”

Permalink Lula Defeats Bolsonaro in Brazilian Election

Former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva clinched victory over his right-wing rival Jair Bolsonaro in a tightly contested second round of the Brazilian election on Sunday. The country’s election authority announced Lula’s narrow win with 50.9% of the vote to Bolsonaro’s 49.1%. 💬 “This isn’t a victory of mine or the Workers’ Party... It’s the victory of a democratic movement that formed above political parties, personal interests and ideologies so that democracy came out victorious,” Lula told a cheering crowd of supporters in Sao Paulo on Sunday night.  The president-elect acknowledged that following such a tight race a challenge to his future mandate will be “immense,” and stressed that 💬 “it is necessary to rebuild the very soul of this country, recover generosity, solidarity, respect for differences and love for others.”  Lula, who is set to take office on 1 January 2023, promised to be a president for all 215 million Brazilians, not just those who voted for him. 💬 “There are not two Brazils. We are one country, one people – a great nation.”  Bolsonaro has yet to publicly concede defeat. The incumbent repeatedly warned during his campaign that he would contest the results if he were to lose by a narrow margin, calling into question the reliability of Brazil’s electronic voting system.  After polls closed nationwide at 5pm local time (8pm GMT), initial results showed Bolsonaro ahead. However, just as in the first round, his lead eventually narrowed as more votes from da Silva’s strongholds were counted. In the first round on October 2, da Silva received over 48% of the vote, which was not enough to claim immediate victory.  Lula da Silva, who represents Brazil’s Workers’ Party, has focused his campaign on overcoming social inequality and alleviating poverty. Among the measures he proposes are raising taxes on the rich, widening the social safety net, and increasing the minimum wage.

Permalink 18th March 2020: Coronavirus: The Hoax of the Century?

Before he was demonised and lied about for telling the truth about covid-19, the journal ‘Nursing Times’ described Vernon Coleman as: the ‘revered guru of medicine’. Within 12 hours, the video I made had been viewed over a million times and copied endlessly. Within days it really took off on YouTube and began to rival all those stupid videos of skate-boarding kangaroos and morons bathing in custard.  And then the video was censored, banned and deleted by YouTube – because it contained the truth. No one has ever claimed the video wasn’t accurate. They just banned it because it contradicted the lies being told by governments around the world.
