The eight-year conflict has wrought terrible tragedy on the humans involved. But there is another group which has been swept up in this whole sorry affair and is often overlooked - the region's animals. Pain, wounds, wandering, abandonment, and death - the fate of the animals in the conflict is a clear indication of what a global calamity this is. This is the story of the animals of Donbass that became hostages and the area's most vulnerable victims, and of the real people who have been trying to save dogs, horses, birds and cats.

People were fleeing the war. When it became dangerous to live in Donbass, thousands of refugees left their homes and apartments. Many men stayed behind to defend their towns and villages, but they sent women, the elderly, and children as far away as possible from the bombs and shelling. They often took only the bare essentials which often excluded pets. But animals were abandoned even more frequently because their owners had been killed. There were hundreds of thousands of hungry, wounded, and unwanted animals: dogs, horses, and cats on the streets of towns and villages of Donbass. (MORE)

Permalink Denmark will stop promoting COVID vaccinations on May 15, 2022

They realize stopping the spread is useless. They are stopping all promotion of the COVID vaccines on May 15, 2022, the first country to do so.

[...] But let’s be clear: anyone that wants the vaccine can still get it. The change is that the government will stop sending out digital posts with invitations to get the vaccine. And they reserve the right to start promoting it again. So even in Denmark, they are still not paying attention to the science. But at least they are willing to take the first baby step and stop promoting it.

Permalink Matthew Ehret: The Race to Break the Russia-China Alliance and the ‘Ukraine of the Asia Pacific’

[Some] cannot understand the nature of the Russian-China alliance nor can they see or understand the stark parallels in the asymmetrical war efforts to destroy either Eurasian power.

Due to this intellectual blindness, even among many intelligent experts within the alternative media community, I will take this opportunity to briefly assess some of the key elements of both operations that have been deployed to destroy both Russia and China. We will begin by looking at the color revolutionary tactics, followed by ‘Gladio stay behinds’, military encirclement, biowarfare and finally the use of ‘fifth columns’.

Permalink China votes against UN probe into alleged Russian war crimes

China has voted against a UN Human Rights Council investigation into possible Russian war crimes in Ukraine amid concern that the probe is politically motivated, shifting from its previous stance of abstaining on the conflict.

💬 “We have noted that in recent years the politicization and confrontation at the [council] has been on the rise, which has severely impacted the credibility, impartiality and the solidarity,” said Chen Xu, the top Chinese diplomat at the UN office in Geneva.

Chen made his comments before the Human Rights Council voted on Thursday – by a 33-2 margin with 12 abstentions – to approve a resolution calling for the war-crimes probe. Eritrea was the only other nation to vote no. Members that abstained included Armenia, Bolivia, Cameroon, Cuba, India, Kazakhstan, Namibia, Pakistan, Senegal, Sudan, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.

Permalink Finland sees no direct military threats from Russia, says Permanent Representative to NATO

NEW YORK, May 13. /TASS/. Finland sees no direct military threats from Russia at the moment, Finland's permanent representative to NATO Klaus Korhonen told CNN on Thursday.

💬 According to him, the potential accession of the country to NATO may be a result of "a very drastic change in our security environment," but right now there are no "direct military threats" or any "irregular activity" from the Russian side. At the same time, the diplomat noted, Helsinki expects that Moscow may organize cyber attacks and "disinformation campaigns." Speaking about the risks of a nuclear conflict, Korhonen stressed that they are currently minimal. "We very far away from any nuclear situation," he said with confidence.

Permalink Holy Nationalism

The Dalai Lama has sparked controversy after he once again defended White nationalism. The elderly monk agreed with the statement that, “white people have a right to exist in their own countries.” Explaining himself, he stated,

💬 “I do not think a world without white people would be complete. We should celebrate the whole world’s diversity and that of course means nations being their own. I do not think a France without the French would be a good thing, but completely the opposite. I love all people.” “I can understand the sadness and despair of Europeans and Americans who worry about losing their countries. Immigrants should return to their own countries, especially those who are from safe places. When I travel to Berlin, I wonder, where are the Germans? I weep for what they have lost.”

Permalink Pelosi Quotes Bible to Justify $40B Military Aid Package to Ukraine

The Bible demands that we send endless Javelins, Stingers and suicide drones to Ukraine.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was blasted by critics overnight following her speech late Tuesday on the House floor in which she quoted the Gospel of Matthew in order to shore up support for the $40 billion Ukraine aid bill that was later approved by the chamber.

💬 “The brutality of Putin is not just what he’s doing in Ukraine, but the impact that it is having on food for the world. So when you’re home thinking what is this all about, just think about, ‘When I was hungry, you fed me,’ in the Gospel of Matthew,” Pelosi said.
