Permalink TPP Uncovered: WikiLeaks releases draft of highly-secretive multi-national trade deal

Details of a highly secretive, multi-national trade agreement in the works have been published by WikiLeaks, and the whistleblower group’s founder warns there will be vast implications for much of the modern world if the contract is approved. Details of a highly secretive, multi-national trade agreement long in works has been published by WikiLeaks, and critics say there will be major repercussions for much of the modern world if its approved in this incarnation. The anti-secrecy group published on Wednesday a 95-page excerpt taken from a recent draft of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP, a NAFTA-like agreement that is expected to encompass nations representing more than 40 percent of the world’s gross domestic product when it is finally approved: the United States, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Chile, Singapore, Peru, Vietnam, New Zealand and Brunei. US President Barack Obama and counterparts from 11 other prospective member states have been hammering out the free trade agreement in utmost secrecy for years now, the result of which, according to the White House, would rekindle the economies of all of those involved, including many countries considered to still be emerging.

Permalink US-Iran nuclear deal will 'shut' Israel war plans

A former Israeli official has admitted that a possible nuclear agreement between Iran and the United States would be disappointing for Israel as Tel Aviv’s plans for unilateral strike against Iran would be diminished. “Practically speaking, [a deal] shuts the [Israeli military] option down,” former National Security Advisor Maj. Gen. (ret.) Giora Eiland told Israeli media. “It doesn’t matter what we think about the deal. Israel won’t be able to do a thing,” he added. Eiland said acting against the agreement between Iran and six major powers would make Israel as the world’s menace. In an interview with Press TV on Sunday, political analyst Ralph Schoenman said not reaching a nuclear deal during the Geneva talks reflects “the determination on the part of the Israelis and the Saudis, not only to prevent such an agreement, but it takes even military action against Iran in order to completely destroy it.” Antiwar.com: Israel: Iran Deal Would Harm War Plans

Permalink White House: Iran Sanctions Bills a ‘March to War’

The White House had for quite some time been quietly lobbying Congress to put its new sanctions bills against Iran on hold for the sake of diplomacy, but is now being very public with its opposition to the bills, calling them a “march to war” against Iran, and one that the American public opposes. White House spokesman Jay Carney said that the public “justifiably and understandably prefer a peaceful solution,” warning that if the sanctions derail the talks it would leave war as the only alternative. Some Congressional hawks have been presenting more sanctions as a way to scare Iran into making more concessions, but others have opposed a deal at all costs, and are facing strong lobbying from Israel, which has complained that the deal would get in the way of their planned war.

Permalink Iran deal: It was just as bad as it looked

xymphora: It was just as bad as it looked It is time for all moral and decent people to start a 100% boycott of all things french, to be ended only when a full Iran peace deal is in place with all sanctions lifted. Needless to say, the current Jewslaves in the French government have permanently denied their country the benefits of future contracts with Iran. More importantly, they have missed out on a crucial pivot in world history that even the American have managed to figure out. I like France, and I'm sorry to say we are going to see a continued deterioration and degradation in this once great country.

Permalink Afghanistan opium harvest at record high - UNODC

Afghan opium cultivation has reached a record level, with more than 200,000 hectares planted with the poppy for the first time, the United Nations says. The UNODC report said the harvest was 36% up on last year, and if fully realised would outstrip global demand. Most of the rise was in Helmand province, where British troops are preparing to withdraw. One of the main reasons the UK sent troops to Helmand was to cut opium production. The head of the UN office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Kabul, Jean-Luc Lemahieu, said that production was likely to rise again next year, amid uncertainty over the withdrawal of most foreign troops and the presidential election. He said that the illegal economy was taking over in importance from legitimate business, and that prices remained high since there was a ready availability of cash in Afghanistan because of aid.

Permalink Israel to build 20,000 settler units in West Bank - Video

The Israeli regime plans to build some 20,000 more illegal settler units in the occupied West Bank. On Tuesday, Tel Aviv issued tenders for the construction of new settler units in the occupied West Bank despite widespread international criticism of settlements built in the occupied Palestinian territories. According to reports, 1,200 new settler units will be built in the so-called E1 area which links al-Quds (Jerusalem) to the city of Ma'ale Adumim in the occupied West Bank. The rest of the new settler units are set to be constructed in several other areas, including the Binyamin Regional Council and Gush Etzion. Elsewhere, Tel Aviv has authorized the construction of two new illegal settlements in the Negev Desert.

Permalink UK Foreign Secretary Says Merely 'Speculating' About Intelligence Capabilities Is Damaging To The Country

As much as we bemoan the attacks on freedom of the press in the US, I'm increasingly astounded at the disdain the British government appears to have for any sort of press that might hold them accountable. We've already talked about David Cameron trying to stop the Guardian from publishing any more Snowden leaks, and even suggesting that there should be criminal penalties. Last week, we noted that MI6 boss John Sawers appeared to be massively overstating the "harm" caused by the reporting. And, now, it appears that the UK Foreign Secretary, William Hague, has taken it up a notch, arguing that merely speculating about the kinds of capabilities the intelligence community has puts everyone at risk:

"By speculating about our capabilities, it makes it easier for people who want to evade interception but are seeking to damage our country, or kill people, it makes it easier for them to evade interception. That is something that is very, very serious, and very damaging."

What a load of complete hogwash. First of all, merely speculating doesn't reveal what's actually going on. Second, terrorists already know pretty damn well about the ability of governments to spy, and as we saw with Osama bin Laden, they take extra precautions to avoid using tools that can be tracked. Third, and perhaps more importantly, the very fact that bin Laden was forced to avoid easily tracked communications actually made his activities that much more difficult to proceed, since he was unable to coordinate as effectively. You'd think that this sort of thing would be a good thing for governments in stopping terrorism. I recognize that the right to a free press has never been as strongly put forth in the UK as it is in the US (even though it may be under attack here), but these blatant attacks on the freedom of the press to report on things very much in the public interest are quite disturbing.

Permalink Invisible Empire: A New World Order Defined

In the tradition of his first Internet blockbuster, Loose Change, which has had over 100 million visits, Jason Bermas has created yet another outstanding documentary film, Invisible Empire: A New World Order Defined.

This film documents very clearly that some of America's most powerful elected officials, including all recent presidents, have been part of an international cabal to establish a socialist New World Order that would eradicate national sovereignty and many of the God-given freedoms vouchsafed in the Constitution of the United States, making all citizens mere slaves of the state.
It has an amazing collection of video footage of these leaders stating their unabashed ambitions to establishing this New World Order. It also shows just who is behind this international cabal and their nefarious intentions and true sinister nature. It is deeply troubling and very important.
Again, its relevance to Free Energy technology is two-fold. First, these same forces are behind many of the instances of suppression of breakthrough free energy, which would empower the individual, contrary to the NWO agenda to enslave. Second, the emergence of breakthrough free energy technologies will help unseat these criminals. It is a powerful antidote to the poison being administered.
Another point of relevance is that the film touches on the fact that Al Gore is one of the New World Order insiders helping to accomplish their objectives by politicizing climate change and using it as a reason to impose global carbon taxes; all while personally becoming super wealthy from his various involvements that include serious conflicts of interest. He should not be seen as a hero figure in the free energy movement.
