Permalink Major Jewish Newspaper Praises Vicious Anti-Gentile Chief Rabbi as “Well-Respected Giant”

The Times of Israel, a fanatically pro-Israel and pro-Jewish newspaper run by leading Zio-Supremacist journalist David Horovitz, has published an op-ed piece by its breaking news editor praising vicious Jewish Supremacist racist Rabbi Ovadia Yosef as a “well-respected giant.”
Writing in the newspaper, breaking news editor Aaron Kalman praised the former chief serpahdic rabbi of Israel as the latter was taken up seriously ill- in an Israeli hospital at the age of 93. “Hundreds of thousands of Jews from Israel and abroad are following the news from Jerusalem’s Hadassah hospital, praying that 93-year-old Rabbi Ovadia Yosef makes some sort of (miraculous?) recovery and regains some of his strength,” Kalman wrote. “Rav Ovadia became known as Maran – a traditional Jewish title meaning the head rabbi of a place. Even when he was no longer the official chief rabbi of Israel, the title remained. “Even as Rav Ovadia fights for his life, the inheritance battle has begun, with people clamoring to gain his title of Maran. While someone might net a political victory and be called by the name Rav Ovadia was, it’s clear that, at this time, no rabbi can fill the giant void he’ll leave behind,” Kalman concluded. This fulsome praise for Ovadia is important, when it is borne in mind that this “giant” expressed many of the most viciously anti-Gentile comments in recent times. For example, he is on record in the Jewish Telegraphic Agency as saying that

“Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world; only to serve the People of Israel,” he said during a public discussion of what kind of work non-Jews are allowed to perform on Shabbat. “Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat,” he said to some laughter.

Permalink Iran warns Obama "flip-flop" threatens trust

Iran's foreign minister warned Barack Obama Tuesday that "flip-flop" threatened efforts to build trust, after the US president told the Israeli premier the military option remained on the table. "President Obama needs consistency to promote mutual confidence," Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a tweet. "Flip-flop destroys trust and undermines US credibility." His remarks came after Obama told visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the use of force was still on the table in dealing with Iran's controversial nuclear programme.

Fars News Agency: Iran Calls on US to Show Pragmatic Behavior Washington should pursue pragmatic polices towards Iran, an Iranian spokeswoman said, referring to US President Barack Obama's change of tone on Iran after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "We still expect the US officials to base their behavior towards the Islamic Republic of Iran on pragmatic policies and show respect in their behavior towards the Iranian nation," Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said in her weekly press conference in Tehran on Tuesday. Stressing that the US is now facing a big test of option to choose between dependence and independence in its foreign policy towards Iran, she said the US behavior will persuade the Iranian side to study the possibility of further interactions to move towards a constructive approach.

Permalink White House Defends NSA ‘Social Mapping’ of Americans

Every new revelation of NSA surveillance is a new affront to basic privacy, and goes far further than anyone had dared to imagine. Every time, the White House is there to defend it. So when the New York Times revealed over the weekend that the NSA has for the past 3 years been using its wholesale data collection from American citizens to construct elaborate maps of “social connections,” it was only a matter of time before the White House shrugged it off as perfectly legal and reasonable. The program is about as unreasonable as it gets, with the agency using metadata, GPS locations and voter records from ordinary Americans to figure out who is friends with who, and connecting people indirectly to others of “intelligence interest.” It’s sort of a George Orwell meets six degrees of Kevin Bacon program, and is exactly the sort of obscene, grand scale privacy violation that the administration had repeatedly assured Americans the NSA would never think of doing.

Permalink Avigdor Lieberman: Israel Should Attack Iran Alone

In a post on his Facebook page, Avigdor Lieberman, the former Israeli foreign minister projects his deceitful symptoms upon the Iranian president: "Now, when the world's attention is focused on the new Iranian president's attempts to appear moderate and conciliatory, it is worth noting that the Iranians have long employed a pattern of deceit: various promise tactics, stalling and feeding the international community with false information time and time again, all the while pursuing their goal of obtaining a nuclear weapon, meant to threaten world peace."

Addressing Israel's attack on Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor in 1981, he said: "We should also bear in mind that in the case of the Iraqi reactor, Israel was the only one who made a warning and in retrospect we were right, as in other cases."

Israel is in a state of panic over the growing popularity of Iran at the UN. But it seems as if Israel is not alone, Haaretz reports today that over the past week conversations have taken place between senior Israeli diplomats and officials from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and other Sunni Gulf states. An Israeli official who requested anonymity said there was a common message in these conversations and a shared sense of anxiety. “All governments in the moderate Sunni states, especially in the Gulf, are very worried about the thaw in relations between the U.S. and Iran,” the senior Israeli official said. “They’re afraid that the American-Iranian deal will come at their expense. There’s pressure not only in Jerusalem, but in the Gulf as well. They’re really wetting their pants."

It may be possible that the penny has dropped. America and West finally gather that Israel and its Lobby are the biggest threat to world peace.

Permalink US govt shuts down for 1st time in 17 years as budget talks fail

The US federal government is partially shutting down after the Congress failed to fund its work amid a Republican drive to defund the Obamacare healthcare program. President Obama addressed to US troops to boost their confidence amid the crisis. The Congress left the government without funding as competing spending measures bounced back and forth between the Republican-controlled House of Representatives and Democratic-led Senate late into Monday night. The partial shutdown will leave some essential government functions, including national security and public safety, intact. It’s not clear how long the situation will continue, with lawmakers expected to take a further vote in a matter of hours. If the shutdown persists, it will affect an estimated 800,000 of public workers, who will be forced into unpaid leave as the government would be unable to fund their employment. National parks and most federal offices are closed, as is almost all of NASA, except for Mission Control in Houston.

Permalink Syrian FM to UN: 'Terrorists from 83 countries fighting in Syria'

The Syrian government is fighting against “terrorist groups from 83 countries” as part of its “constitutional right” to protect the country’s people, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem told the UN General Assembly in New York. In his speech to the UN Assembly, Muallem on Monday dismissed the definition of the Syrian conflict as a civil war, saying that the Syrian government is engaged in a “war against terrorism that recognizes no values, nor justice, nor equality, and disregards any rights or laws.” “Confronting this terror in my country requires the international community to act in accordance with relevant resolutions on countering terrorism, particularly the UNSC resolution No. 1373 of 2001,” he said. Muallem described some Al-Qaeda-linked militants who eat human hearts and dismember people that are still alive, sending limbs out to family members.

Permalink “The nation formerly known as Libya has split itself into three: the emirates of Fezzan, Cyrenaica, and Tripolitania”

Musa al-Gharbi : Libya – two years, three states, two civil wars? The NATO intervention in Libya was an unmitigated disaster. At the outset, Washington policymakers believed that the people would rise up en masse against Gaddhafi, and embrace the new “democratic” government which was installed in the aftermath of his execution. This didn’t happen. Instead, NATO was pulled ever deeper into the theater because there were few military or government defections, Gaddhafi didn't buckle in the fact of direct Western intervention, and the people did not rise up against him in substantial numbers; they would not even support the rebels with food, water, or supplies. Despite the no-fly zone, his forces continued to close in on Benghazi, forcing NATO to expand its military involvement, to include arming and training the rebels. Ultimately, the tide was turned by the participation of AQIM; an al-Qaeda detainee released from Guantanamo Bay became one of the most prolific leaders of the rebellion. The organization offered their support to the rebels early on in the protests—and why shouldn’t they have? The government was moving in on their territory. According to the CTC, Libya provided the highest number of foreign insurgents in Iraq, per capita; most of these hailed from east, a la Benghazi. But even the influx of al-Qaeda fighters was insufficient to “close the deal.”

Permalink Venezuela expels 3 US embassy diplomats

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has ordered the expulsion of three US embassy diplomats, accusing them of plotting to sabotage the economy. Maduro made the announcement during a live TV appearance on Monday, saying chargé d'affaires Kelly Keiderling and the two other diplomats would have 48 hours to leave the country, AFP reported. He said the diplomats had met with the "Venezuelan far-right" to finance his opponents and "encourage actions to sabotage the power system and the economy." "We will not allow an imperial government to bring money and see how they can stop basic companies and stop the electricity to turn off all of Venezuela," Maduro said.

Permalink Brussels threatens France over Roma policy

The EU threatened tough sanctions against France on Wednesday over its hardline policy towards Roma migrants, reminding Paris that as European citizens the Roma have a right to free circulation. Amnesty International also slammed Paris over its Roma evictions. The European Commission was forced once again on Wednesday to threaten sanctions against France over its policy towards the Roma community, sending a reminder to Paris that the minority were citizens of the EU and therefore free to go where they want. “Free movement as freedom to reside in another country are fundamental rights. If these principles enshrined in the treaties are not met, then the commission will use all means at its disposal,” to sanction such violations, warned spokesman Olivier Bailly. “The Roma, like all EU citizens, enjoy the right to freedom of movement in all EU member states and to reside in a country other than their country of origin,” Bailly added. This is not the first time Brusels has sent a warning to Paris. Three years ago the Commission's Vice President Viviane Reding sent a similar threat to former president Nicolas Sarkozy that Roma expulsions had to stop.
