Permalink US coordinates arms transfers to Syria militants: Croatian newspaper

The United States has coordinated the shipment thousands of tons of weapons from Croatia to the militants in Syria with assistance from the UK and other European countries, a report says. - The Croat newspaper Jutarnji List, which provided the fullest details on the arms shipments, claimed that 3,000 tons of weapons, paid for by Saudi Arabia as requested by the US, have been airlifted from Zagreb airport in 75 planeloads to the militants through Jordan since November. Previous reports had said that the weapons dated back to the former Yugoslavia but the newspaper revealed that they also came "from several other European countries including Britain."

Permalink EU-funded Israeli theft

A leaked report commissioned by the European Union (EU) has concluded that Israeli settlement construction “remains the single biggest threat” to peace in the Middle East. - The confidential, 15-page report outlines 10 recommendations for the 27 EU states to consider regarding Israel’s wanton activities in occupied Palestine. It describes proposals by the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – to build more “Jewish-only” colonies – as “systematic, deliberate and provocative”. The document raises alarm about current construction efforts around East Jerusalem, new plans effectively bisecting the West Bank into two separate geographical entities and isolating the future capital of Palestine from the rest of the Palestinian population – “making it impossible” to achieve peace. In addition to settlements, the report warns of systemic institutional racism “undermining the Palestinian presence” in East Jerusalem. It highlights two unequal systems of government: one for native Palestinians and another for Jews.

Permalink Cops Admit: ‘You’re On Your Own’ Without a Gun

Project Veritas visited police stations nationwide and asked law enforcement officials how they could protect themselves in the event of an armed break-in. "Go get some bleach. Go get ammonia," one officer instructed. Yet another officer instructed the undercover journalist to, "lock yourself in a bedroom" and "start yelling and screaming."

Vice President Joe Biden recently advised Americans to, "get a shotgun" for home protection. But when asked whether or not they should follow the Vice President's advice, law enforcement officials told the undercover journalists they would be arrested for doing so.

Featured is our interview with Milwaukee County Sheriff David J. Clarke Jr. You can view our full interview with Sheriff Clarke at this link. Permalink US Air Force scrubs drone strike data from reports

As the US military continues to court scrutiny regarding drone use, the Air Force has stopped sharing information on the number of drone strikes in Afghanistan. Going one step further, it has removed those statistics from prior reports on its website. - The Air Force's Central Command began keeping track of drone weapon releases in October 2012, according to the Air Force Times. The move was described at that time as a bid to “provide more detailed information on [drone] ops in Afghanistan,” said Central Command spokeswoman Capt. Kim Bender, the magazine reports. Statistics were recorded as part of the policy for November, December and January. But when February's numbers were published on March 7, there was only a blank space where the drone statistics were normally placed.

Permalink Are Attorney General Holder’s Statements on Banks and Drones Connected?

The president can assassinate American citizens on U.S. soil
The big banks shouldn’t be prosecuted, as that would destabilize the economy

These statements may – at first glance – seem unconnected. And the mainstream media is treating them as separate. True, the government is hell-bent on keeping the giant banks afloat, even though virtually all independent economists, financial experts and bankers are calling for them to be broken up, and Americans overwhelmingly want the government to get tougher on prosecuting Wall Street fraud. But there might be more to it then than that … and Holder’s statements may be intimately connected. For example, the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and other government agencies worked hand-in-hand with the big banks to violently crack down on the Occupy protests. And what was Occupy protesting? One of the core complaints of the Occupy protesters was that there are two systems of justice: the little guy gets thrown in jail for the smallest infraction, while banksters escape prosecution for their criminal fraud.

Permalink New Study claiming global temps highest in 4000 years, contradicted by previous studies -- Media touted study based on 'reconstructed data' from only 73 data sites

Global warming activists and media outlets are hyping a new study published in Science that claims the Earth is experiencing unprecedented temperatures. See: New York Times: Global Temperatures Highest in 4,000 Years & Associated Press: HEAT SPIKE UNLIKE ANYTHING IN 11,000 YEARS. But the new media touted study is "based on 'reconstructed data' from 73 data sites, pretended to cover space-time of 196 million sq. mi. and 11,300 years". Another way to view the same claims are as follows: Earth Cooler Today Than 28% of the Past 11,300 Years: 'This is a paper that was bound to cause lurid headlines along lines that Earth is warming faster than at any time during past 11,000 years'. The new study is also counter to a preponderance of existing peer-reviewed studies showing the Medieval Warm Period and the Roman Warming were both as warm or warmer than today without benefit of modern emissions or SUVs.

Permalink Malaysia Invaded - 100's of Terrorists Land on Beaches, Western Media Mute

Hundreds of heavily armed terrorists have crossed from the Philippines and landed in the eastern Malaysian state of Sabah. Dozens are already dead, and the Malaysian military has brought in aircraft and armor to confront the audacious, bizarre invasion, scattering militants into the jungles of Borneo island. A seemingly headline news event, the invasion has been downplayed and spun by the Western media, many calling militant Al Qaeda-linked terrorists, an "armed Filipino clan." The West's woeful, irresponsible coverage of a burgeoning region-wide destabilization, fits in nicely with its coverage of US-Saudi funded/armed terrorism around the world, including in Syria where US-funded terrorists of the so-called "Free Syrian Army" have just taken dozens of UN peacekeepers hostage in the Golan Heights - just days after the US announced it would fund the terrorists further, to the tune of $60 million and the West's Arab partners have just granted the terrorist faction Syria's seat at the "Arab League."
