Permalink The Great Cancer Hoax: The Brilliant Cure the FDA Tried Their Best to Shut Down...

Important! The producers of this powerful film are allowing a full and FREE preview through June 20th! Please tell everyone you know to watch this film in its entirety through June 20th, 2011.

Burzynski, the Movie is the story of a medical doctor and Ph.D biochemist named Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski who won the largest, and possibly the most convoluted and intriguing legal battle against the Food and Drug Administration in American history.

In the 1970’s, Dr. Burzynski made a remarkable discovery that threatened to change the face of cancer treatment forever. His non-toxic gene-targeted cancer medicine could have helped save millions of lives over the last two decades had his discovery not been criminally suppressed by the US government, as his therapy, called “antineoplastons,” have been shown to effectively help cure some of the most “incurable” forms of terminal cancer.

This documentary takes you through the treacherous 14-year journey Dr. Burzynski and his patients have had to endure in order to finally obtain FDA-approved clinical trials of antineoplastons.

His story is yet another testament that fact can be far stranger than fiction, as the film exposes the powerful, unscrupulous forces that work to maintain the status quo of the medical- and pharmaceutical industry at any cost—including the lives of millions of people. Permalink Wisconsin Supreme Court reinstates law stripping public workers of collective bargaining rights

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Tuesday reinstated Republican Gov. Scott Walker's "budget repair bill" after a Dane County judge blocked the law from being implemented in May. - The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the state's Supreme Court ruled that a Senate committee did not violate Wisconsin's open meetings law when they hastily passed legislation to strip public workers of nearly all collective bargaining rights.

"We conclude that the Legislature did not violate the Wisconsin Constitution by the process it used," the state's high court concluded.

Fourteen Democratic state senators fled Wisconsin in mid-February to prevent a vote on the budget repair bill. There are currently 19 Republican senators, but the Wisconsin Senate needs a minimum of 20 members present to debate and vote on fiscal legislation. While the 14 Democratic senators remained in Illinois, Republican state senators created a conference committee and removed all elements of the bill that would require a three-fifths quorum. The Wisconsin Legislature then passed the proposal to limit public employees' collective bargaining rights. The Dane County district attorney alleged the committee violated the open meetings law because it did not give 24 hours' notice before the meeting, but the state's Supreme Court ruled (PDF) Tuesday that the committee was not subject to the law.

Permalink Osama bin Laden: Closing the Case on an Innocent Man

They Made The Whole Thing Up - The real Osama bin Laden was someone few Americans knew anything about. He knew nothing of Al Qaeda, never planned 9/11, never advocated terrorism, not once, but he did make enemies. Bin Laden, in 2001, believed Israel would push the US into a war across the Middle East, a war that would go on for years.

He believed that a powerful Israeli lobby controlled much of the US government and that the American people would suffer terribly because of this, beliefs recently overheard as stated by President Obama behind closed doors.

Bin Laden condemns terrorism and says that the US government, Israel and the press are using terrorism against the American people in order to frighten them into going to war, the endless war going on today.

This was before the first Patriot Act. This was before the attack on Iraq. This was before the revelations about 9/11 and Building 7, the categorical proof, continually denied, continually suppressed, that 9/11 was an “inside job.”

Our source for this real “bin Laden” is the Central Intelligence Agencies files. Their bin Laden was no terrorist but rather someone with a deep and abiding affection for the American people and a view of events that would prove him uncanny in his foresight.

Permalink The West's Obscene Demonization of Gaddafi

The vilification campaign waged by the West against Moammar Gaddfi is just the latest chapter in a “massive U.S. psychological assault, a vast disinformation operation in which the corporate media act as megaphones for government liars.” In reality, there is no evidence for allegations that Gaddafi ordered his soldiers to rape hundreds of women, but “that does not seem to matter to a corporate media that are bent on glorifying the Benghazi-based rebels.”

Permalink Syria stands strong with Assad - Video

Syrian cities have been the scene of clashes between government forces and armed groups in the past three months, during which hundreds of people, including security forces, have been killed. Press TV has conducted an interview with Joshua Landis, the co-director of the Center for Middle East Studies at the University of Oklahoma, who suggests that the Syrian government is strong and the armed groups are doomed to fail. What follows is the text of the interview (also supported by George Jabour, president of Syrian UN Association and former advisor to Syrian president, and Nada Hashwi, political scientist from Beirut)

Permalink David House's Statement on Appearing Before the WikiLeaks Grand Jury

David House is a founding member of the Bradley Manning Support Network. He was subpoenaed to appear before a federal grand jury today in Alexandria, VA. House is among several Boston area residents who have been ordered to testify before the grand jury, which is investigating WikiLeaks. - House and his lawyer entered the courthouse this morning at approximately 10:00am ET, amidst a gathering of supporters who held signs with messages of support for House. The rally also called for government transparency and protection for whistleblowers — and for freedom for accused WikiLeaks source PFC Bradley Manning. The prosecution initially attempted to prevent David House from taking notes. This was the reason for the recess and reconvening at 4:00pm ET. There was no legal basis for this order, and House was ultimately permitted to take notes. House was questioned for approximately one hour, beginning at 4:00pm ET. He invoked his Fifth Amendment rights to remain silent. He read from the below statement at 5:00pm ET in the plaza outside of the United States District Court at 401 Courthouse Square in Alexandria, VA.

Permalink The Greek Bankruptcy Case Study Is Now A Cartoon

With the Greek crisis approaching surreal proportions, now that everything from this point on is a carbon copy of events from May 2010 onward, and the only question is whether Europe will succeed in kicking the can down the road for another year (not with the 2 Year at 28% it won't and the 30 Year priced at 40 cents on the dollar) all one can do at this point is laugh at the daily dose of denial at the Keynesian-cum-monetarist experiment. Alas, one also has to be dead serious about this stuff because it just may usher the eventual implosion of capitalism once again, since many (us among them), believe that the downstream effects from the bankruptcy of Greece, and thus the ECB, and thus Europe, will make Lehman seem like a walk in the park (and the only reason Greece hasn't blown up yet, of course, is that Greece does not have a profitable fixed income trading desk that Goldman would love to gets its tentacles around). So in reporting on today's events we combine the hysterical with the somber. First, we present the latest NMA cartoon summarizing the Greek fiasco in only a way that NMA can. We also share the latest Greek summary piece from SocGen (which itself will be downgraded substantially when Greece folds). It should serve sufficiently well to defuse any left over levity: "This looks like a last ditch effort from Papandreou to save the situation as his Parliamentary majority is eroded, and the opposition threatens to renege on the conditions adhered to when the IMF Stand-By Arrangement was originally signed back in May 2010. Meeting these programme requirements is a binding condition for a continuation of the EU/IMF quarterly disbursements, which are necessary to plug Greece’s funding gap. Greece’s situation, and the euro area’s sovereign crisis, have reached a new level of uncertainty."
