Permalink The Fascist Origin and Essence of Privatization

Preface by Washington’s Blog: We documented in 2009 that fascism and our current crony capitalist economy are indistinguishable. We noted in 2011 that America’s public resources are being raped and pillaged … just like those of small debt-saddled countries like Greece. The following short – but important – piece by Eric Zuesse shows that looting and privatization of public resources was a hallmark of fascist Germany and Italy … and America today. Washington’s Blog is non-partisan. We believe that the war between liberals and conservatives is a false divide-and-conquer dog-and-pony show created by the powers that be to keep the American people divided and distracted. [...] We can argue it either way, because we are ideologically neutral: allowing the private sector to own and manage resources is good … or allowing the public sector to do so is healthy. Here’s the key: If these resources had always been in the private sector, that would be fine … that would be free market capitalism. But if they were purchased on the people’s dime with our blood, tears, sweat and taxpayer funds – and then sold to the big boys for pennies on the dollar – that’s not capitalism … that’s looting. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what the Nazis, Italian fascists, and modern American “leaders” are doing.

Permalink Israeli defense minister says Kerry should 'take Nobel prize and leave us be'

Israeli defence minister has reportedly attacked John Kerry, heading up the US-led peace process, for being 'obsessive messianic', saying he should 'take his Nobel prize and leave us alone'. Israeli defence minister Moshe Yaalon has scathingly attacked US Secretary of State John Kerry and the US-led peace process in private conversations, according to reports. “Secretary of State John Kerry—who arrived here determined, and who operates from an incomprehensible obsession and a sense of messianism—can’t teach me anything about the conflict with the Palestinians”, Mr Yaalon is reported as saying. Mr Yaalon reportedly made his statements in the course of a number of conversations held with American and Israeli officials, according to Israeli daily Yediot Ahranot. “The only thing that might save us is if John Kerry wins the Nobel Prize and leaves us be”, said the Defence Minister. Turning to the US-led efforts to bring Israelis and Palestinians to an interim agreement in the current round of peace talks, Yaalon dismissed the American proposals with disdain.

Permalink Israel Seizes Emergency Tents Provided By UN

Israeli authorities Jewish land thieves have seized emergency tents provided by the United Nations to shelter families whose homes were demolished by the army last week, according to a UN press release. The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) reports that the release, issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories (OCHA), states that the tents were provided to the Bani Manieh families from Jiftlik, in Jericho, after the Israeli army demolished all their residential and livelihood structures on Wednesday. 13 structures, belonging to three families of the Bani Manieh community, were destroyed by the army, displacing 26 people, including 15 children. The army claims that the area was a military training zone. The Jordan Valley makes up about 29% of the West Bank, and Israel is simultaneously trying to empty the region of its Palestinian Arab citizens, as it attempts to keep control over the area in any future peace deal with the Palestinians. The Palestinians refuse to allow any Israeli presence in the Jordan Valley and assert that this land is vital to their economy and statehood.

Permalink Ariel Sharon Speaks From The Grave

Brother Nathanael Kapner: As Ariel Sharon lies in the grave, the Jew-infested Wall Street Journal memorializes his words in a lame attempt to lionize his person. In today’s OpEd, Ariel Sharon In The Journal, excerpts from opinion pieces penned by Sharon are laid out for all the Journal’s Jewish readers and Gentile dupes to drool over. In the following excerpt, Real Jew News debunks all of Sharon’s dribble the Journal would have us swallow. Thus, instead of lionizing the murderer Sharon there’s ample reason to reproach him.

The Editorial Board, USA Today: Ariel Sharon's life a metaphor for Israel's Even in the best light, Ariel Sharon was a brute of a man. Bull-headed and brilliant, the former Israeli prime minister, who died Saturday at age 85, was a maverick whose ferocity — and convenient lack of conscience — matched him well to the Middle East's primal power struggles. In many ways, his life is a metaphor for his nation's — a story of bold strokes and bold excesses — all aimed at ensuring Israel's survival against long odds and rife with controversy, a lesson in whether ends justify means.

Permalink Mexican Official Accuses CIA Of 'Managing' Not 'Fighting' The Drug Trade

A Mexican state government spokesman told Al Jazeera that the CIA and other international security forces "don't fight drug traffickers" as much as "try to manage the drug trade," Chris Arsenault reports. "It's like pest control companies, they only control," Chihuahua spokesman Guillermo Terrazas Villanueva told Al Jazeera. "If you finish off the pests, you are out of a job. If they finish the drug business, they finish their jobs." Chihuahua, one of Mexico's most violent states, borders on Texas.

Permalink US does not want to give up surveillance of Germany - media

Despite initial assurances, the US does not want to sign a cooperation agreement between intelligence services with Germany that is meant to guarantee refusal from mutual wiretapping, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper says Tuesday citing sources in German government circles. "The Americans have deceived us", - a high-ranking source in the government of the Federal Republic of Germany said to the newspaper. As reported by the Sueddeutsche Zeitung, among other things Washington refuses to inform the German partners, when the wiretapping of the Chancellor’s cell phone began. The USA also does not give out information, whether other German politicians were objects of surveillance. Washington refuses to fulfill the requirements of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Germany and admit German specialists to the territory of the US Embassy in Berlin, from where, perhaps, the surveillance of the Bundestag and the office of the Federal Chancellor had been conducted, the newspaper notes.

Permalink Officers caught on video beating California homeless man to death acquitted of all charges

An Orange County jury returned a unanimous not-guilty verdict Tuesday in favor of two former Fullerton, California police officers, Manuel Ramos and Jay Cicinelli, who had been charged with murder and manslaughter arising from the July 5, 2011 death of Kelly Thomas, a hapless 37-year-old schizophrenic living on the streets of the Southern California suburb, located near Disneyland. After deliberating less than a full day, the eight female and four male jurors exonerated both defendants despite repeated viewings of the graphic video, which shows multiple punches, kicks, chest compressions and tasings over a nine-minute period. Paramedics resuscitated Thomas and rushed him to the hospital, where he arrived comatose. He survived for five days, until his condition became hopeless and life support measures were terminated. The medical examiner determined that Thomas’s death was caused when four to six police officers piled onto his chest. That, along with profuse bleeding from his nose and face, cut off oxygen to his brain. The stomach churning 33-minute surveillance video is available in various formats on the Los Angeles Times website and YouTube. It speaks for itself.
