Permalink Separate Bus Lines for Palestinians and for Colonists in the West Bank

During the global protests known as Israel Apartheid Week, the Israeli government launched a segregated bus service, forcing Palestinians in the West Bank to travel only on buses designated to them.

Israel has “started” to operate segregated buses. But not really ‘started’. 447638343Already in November 2011, activists challenged the segregated illegal settler buses Rosa Parks Style with the #FreedomRides. Challenging segregation and racism in the same way like Rosa Parks did when she was refused entry in a bus on December 1, 1955. After Nazi empire segregated the Jews with Jew Only transportation, camps, even benches in a parc and you name it and more, Israel takes a retake of the racism in 2013 with buses. ”Nur für Palestinenzer” (Only for Palestinians). Where did we see this before….. oh yes, Warsaw ghetto WorldWar II. In this video at 23 min 39 you can see a “Nur für Juden” Straßenbahn (Only for Jews) transportation in action.

Permalink France’s Media Admits that the Syrian “Opposition” is Al Qaida. Then Justifies French Government Support to the Terrorists

In a report published on the 11th of April French daily Le Monde admits that rebels fighting the government of the Syrian Arab Republic are dominated by Jabhat Al-Nosra , a terrorist group linked to Al Qaida. The admission comes after two years of non-stop disinformation trumpeted from all French mainstream media outlets from the official right to the official left, disinformation that has attempted to convince the French public that democratic revolutionaries are fighting a war for human rights and freedom against a brutal, tyrannical dictator, who is ‘’ killing his own people’’. This puerile and deeply dishonest narrative has now been utterly discredited, as the facts about the terrorist nature of the Syrian rebels have become too obvious to ignore.

The dupes of Nato’s media empire can continue to comfort themselves that their governments are fighting terrorists in some countries, while helping ‘democratic rebels’ to fight ‘brutal regimes’ in others, but as savage austerity cuts and the militarization of urban space afflicts European cities, the reality that it is the degenerate Euro-Atlantic elites who are fomenting jihadist terrorism, the nightmarish reality that this is in fact both the ‘brutal regime’, and the opaque, loose ‘terrorist network’ which wants to take away our freedoms and destroy civilization, this reality will become impossible to ignore. For in truth the war on terrorism is ultimately a war on humanity.

Permalink Obama proclaims Boston bombings an “act of terror”

CIA's drone campaign in Pakistan has killed dozens
of civilians who had gone to help rescue victims or
were attending funerals
(All Hail the Assassin in Chief!)

“Any time bombs are used to target innocent civilians it is an act of terror,” Obama told reporters in the White House briefing room. “What we don’t yet know, however, is who carried out this attack, or why; whether it was planned and executed by a terrorist organization, foreign or domestic, or was the act of a malevolent individual.”

There is undoubtedly a political struggle within the US government and its intelligence apparatus over how to make use of the events in Boston to advance US security policies at home and militarist policies abroad. There was an immediate campaign to place the events within the narrative of the “war on terror,” which has been used to legitimize unending militarism abroad and the dismantling of democratic rights within the United States. Media coverage has sought to connect the events with the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The aim is once again to utilize the tragic events to justify the massive buildup of the government’s military, security and intelligence apparatus. The immediate response to the attacks has been a security clampdown not only in Boston, but nationwide, to condition the public for another expansion of the militarization of American society.

Reader Comment (Russia Today): Boston blank: No suspects, no motives over deadly bombings - Like the FBI-CIA-NSA-TSA-DHS-Nazi Bastards-Pedophiles are going to find evidence against themselves...?

PressTV: ‘False-flag’ meme goes mainstream on Boston Marathon bombings - On September 11th, 2001, the US media began chanting “Bin Laden” in unison almost from the moment the attack was reported. The possibility that US government insiders had orchestrated the attack - in order to blame Muslims, launch wars on Muslim countries, and seize near-absolute power - was never mentioned. But after the Boston bombings of April 16th, 2013, even the corporate monopoly media could no longer ignore the possibility of a false-flag attack. Yahoo News asked “Who's behind the Boston Marathon bombings?” and offered 4 theories: (1) Islamic jihadists, (2) Right-wing militia types, (3) the government, and (4) a criminally-insane lone wolf. Numbers (1), (2), and (4), of course, are the usual suspects. But including (3) “the government” on the suspects list is unprecedented for a mainstream news story reporting on a domestic terror incident.

Permalink Pomp and Circumstance: Evil Margaret Thatcher's funeral

Old Cold War warriors from both sides of the Atlantic will be reunited for perhaps the last time today as they gather to pay respects to one of their most significant figures. - While many current leaders have chosen to not to attend Baroness Thatcher’s funeral, the service represents what is likely to be the last gathering of elder statesmen of the period before the fall of the Berlin Wall. President Obama will be represented by President Reagan’s Secretary of State George Shultz and his Chief of Staff James Baker. Perhaps America’s most famous Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has also accepted an invitation, as has the former US Vice-President Dick Cheney – who was Defence Secretary at the end of Lady Thatcher’s time as Prime Minister. Senior Conservatives expressed irritation that no one from the current Obama administration will make the trip across the Atlantic. South Africa’s last apartheid President F W de Clerk will be in London, as will Canada’s Brian Mulroney, Prime Minister for the second half of the 1980s.

Permalink Climate scientists struggle to explain warming slowdown

Scientists are struggling to explain a slowdown in climate change that has exposed gaps in their understanding and defies a rise in global greenhouse gas emissions. - Often focused on century-long trends, most climate models failed to predict that the temperature rise would slow, starting around 2000. Scientists are now intent on figuring out the causes and determining whether the respite will be brief or a more lasting phenomenon. Getting this right is essential for the short and long-term planning of governments and businesses ranging from energy to construction, from agriculture to insurance. Many scientists say they expect a revival of warming in coming years.

Permalink Dozens killed as biggest earthquake in 50 years hits Iran - Video

Force of 7.8 magnitude quake could be felt from Kabul to Delhi and Dubai

A large earthquake, said to have been the most powerful to hit Iran in the past 50 years and which sent tremors across the region, has killed dozens of people and flattened homes. Yet Iranian officials have insisted the damage is much less than originally feared. The 7.8 magnitude quake struck at 15:14 local time (10:44 GMT) close to the Iranian border with Pakistan. The force of the tremor could be felt from Kabul to Delhi and Dubai. In the Pakistani city of Karachi many buildings were evacuated. Iran’s Press TV initially said at least 40 people had been killed but it later withdrew the claim, suggesting casualties were much lower. Meanwhile in Baluchistan province in south-west Pakistan it was reported that up to 34 people had lost their lives. The Pakistani authorities said emergency teams were flying to remote villages in the quake zone with assistance.

Permalink More than 10 million Americans among the working poor

More than 46 million people, or about 15 percent of the US population, lived below the official poverty level in 2011, according to the US Census Bureau. A new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that the “working poor” account for 10.4 million of this number, or nearly a quarter of all those living in poverty according to government guidelines. The statistics revealed by the BLS report are a stunning indictment of the current state of the US economy and demonstrate how the so-called recovery is playing out in the everyday lives of workers and their families. Corporations, backed by the policies of the Obama administration and both big business parties, have seized on the jobs crisis in the wake of the recession to drive down workers’ wages and boost productivity.
