Candid Treason

"Cantor's comments will be revisited in the future because they reveal an emerging political crisis in America that is becoming apparent to more and more people. It is common knowledge that America's political establishment totally betrayed the American people, and destroyed the country."

Last week, the new House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York City to privately discuss U.S. sanctions against Iran, U.S.-Palestinian relations, the United Nations, the Republican smackdown in the recent election, and various subjects dealing with Israel and America's special relationship. Laura Rozen of Politico reported on the meeting, writing:

Regarding the midterms, Cantor may have given Netanyahu some reason to stand firm against the American administration.

"Eric stressed that the new Republican majority will serve as a check on the Administration and what has been, up until this point, one party rule in Washington," the readout continued. "He made clear that the Republican majority understands the special relationship between Israel and the United States, and that the security of each nation is reliant upon the other."

Veteran observer of U.S.-Israeli relations Ron Kampeas said he found that statement "an eyebrow-raiser."

"I can't remember an opposition leader telling a foreign leader, in a personal meeting, that he would side, as a policy, with that leader against the president," Kampeas wrote at JTA's blog -- an interpretation which Cantor's office later disputed to Kampeas.

Cantor's comments reflect either a deep naivety, or a new found arrogance that came with the Republican victory less than two weeks ago.

Is he at all aware that it is an act of treason to meet with a foreign head of state as a senior government official in your own country, and candidly expressing your loyalty to him and his state's aims instead of siding with your own leader and your own country? Maybe he knows what he did is national sabotage, but he likes the idea of being hanged. Or maybe he has no respect for the American state at all. He could be an anarchist in that way. Or he could just be a filthy traitor. I guess time will reveal the answers to such questions.

But I'm not interested in what happens later in the historical drama that's unfolding. I'm interested in right now, in this moment in time. The lack of outrage over this story is unsettling. It is another reason why the mainstream media in the United States is losing respect, and popularity.

The only time that anyone should open up the New York Times, The Washington Post, or any other mainstream newspaper is when there is dog shit to be picked up.

Silence by the media on important issues is the most damaging fact of life today. Most journalists and pundits don't seem to be interested that it is a treasonable offense when an elected government official crosses the line from supporting Israel, which is good, to supporting Israel over America. There is a clear difference between the two positions. If Cantor thinks that Israel and America are so attached that both nations should always be mentioned in the same sentence in a discussion about American foreign policy, then he is either deluded, or he knows the difference but he is a traitor. There is no other way to put it. As a statesman you can't lose sight of your own state's interests, which are different from every other state and need to be defended. If you become the lapdog, or a spy for another state, then naturally you must be strung up.

In Cantor's political cosmology Israel is the center of the universe, not America. That's unfortunate because America deserves better. No nation should tolerate traitors, ever. Traitors represent a direct danger to the freedoms and well-being of a political community, or any community. That's why it is commonly said that the devil roams like a king in the house of treason, or something to that effect. In all cultures the traitor is viewed as a figure worst than the murderer, and the rapist, because the actions of the traitor impacts a community in a similar way as the actions of a murderer or a rapist impacts a person but with graver consequences.

If the charge of traitor against Cantor doesn't stick, then surely he is a puppet.

Let's unpack some of his comments that are in the quote above. He says that Washington has suffered from "one party rule" in the last two years, but when it comes to the question of Israel, most congressmen, Democrats and Republicans alike, are on board with Israel's actions 100 percent of the time. You can read that fact whichever way you like, but the point is that Israel benefits greatly from one party rule in America, which is rule by the Republicrat party. As Glenn Greenwald wrote in his critique of Cantor's meeting:

And for the past two years, leading Democrats who would never dare publicly criticize Obama for anything have bitterly and publicly denounced him for the crime of opposing Israeli policy. And, of course, there is far greater unity in the U.S. Congress for Israeli wars than for America's own wars; that's just a fact.

Another thing that Cantor said that is flat out not true is that "the security of each nation is reliant upon the other." Try telling America's Marines and America's Air Force that America's security depends on the cooperation of Israel. LOL. What a ridiculous statement by Cantor. Did he connect the interests of both nations so close together while knowing deep down that it is in fact not the case, or does he really believe that the big giant requires the help of the small mouse?

America doesn't need Israel, in fact, America's security would improve tremendously if it acted equally fair to all sides in the region. In the last two years, Israel has exposed its lack of willingness to create a resolution by excessively constructing new settlements that further derails the peace process, and prolongs the Israel-Palestine conflict, which reflects badly on American diplomacy, and ultimately leads to violent responses against the U.S. for not forcing Israel to come to the table without any hidden agenda. Greenwald addresses this point in his article, saying:

What makes Cantor's behavior all the more remarkable is that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict which the Obama administration is ostensibly attempting to resolve is, as Gen. David Petraeus himself pointed out, a direct threat to U.S. interests and security. But no matter; those concerns are plainly not Cantor's priority.

Men like Cantor are not fit to lead the great country of America. Neither are Bush, Reagan, Clinton and Obama exemplary of American humanity and genius. These leaders represent the thin layer of scum atop American society, which is noble and good.

It is understandable why scum rises to the top in modern U.S. politics. When traitors rule at the very top in a society they want to be surrounded with similar personalities, so they help like-minded traitors with no conscience to rise to the top along with them. That's why George H.W. Bush selected political strategist Lee Atwater as his campaign manager during the 1988 presidential election. He knew that Atwater had a dark soul, and a cold heart, and didn't mind playing the role of the trickster in U.S. politics.

Read David Terrenoire's post from 2008 about Atwater and the legacy of bullshit that he left behind:

This guy might be the King of Bullshit. He's Lee Atwater, the amoral, cold-blooded slime weasel who birthed today's politics of partisan crap. He proved that if you were willing to say anything about your opponent, you could win elections. It was all bullshit. He knew it, his clients knew it. And it didn't matter.

He ruined people's lives and reputations and was rewarded handsomely by his friends in the GOP. If you like the way American politics is muddied by innuendo, gossip, blatant untruths and despicable character assassination, thank Atwater. He was a charmer and pure-D, triple-distilled bullshit from the hair on his head to the shine on his shoes.

Karl Rove was Atwater's protege. Like the master, the student continued the destruction of America. But Rove is not the problem. And neither was Atwater. They are just intelligent but cold-blooded individuals who saw through the phoniness of American democracy, and the unreality of politics, and then manipulated it even more to secure electoral victories for their political pals.

Back to Cantor. His comments will be revisited in the future because they reveal an emerging political crisis in America that is becoming apparent to more and more people. It is common knowledge that America's political establishment totally betrayed the American people, and destroyed the country.

You wouldn't know it if you watched Bush's recent interviews on television, but there is indeed a deep political crisis that originates from the heart of the American political system. Despite his rebranding campaign and new book, people have not forgotten that the Bush administration unleashed the angels of death, and the gods of chaos into the world. And they have not went away because justice must be done first.

Bush believes he will not face justice. He knows that he committed war crimes, but he doesn't care. He doesn't intent to fool himself when he says that waterboarding isn't torture when it is, or that torture saved American lives when it didn't, but the public. He understands that playing the fool in public is politically smart. And the reason he is so arrogant about his atrocious record as President is because "the bigger the lie the bigger the liar," and he told some pretty big lies. He will not tell the truth to the public unless a criminal case is brought against him. It is naive to expect him to tell all on Oprah. If he admits any new revelations, it will happen in a criminal court, not in a book.

Cantor probably learned a lot from Bush, like how to sell criminal wars, how to help criminal banks get away with fraud, and how to screw the American people by any means necessary. But Cantor siding with the Israeli PM over the U.S. President is nothing in comparison to the state terrorism and high treason that's been committed by high-level government officials in America. That's the truth that a lot of people in the media are hiding from. But I can't fault them because these are crimes of such a historical magnitude that only apocalyptic events can shake people out of their sleep, and cause them to face reality as it is, not what they've been led to believe it is by wolves dressed as sheep.

When America's political crisis is seen for what it actually is, you quickly realize that pitchforks won't save America, guillotines will.
