President Putin, in his comprehensive interview to Dmitry Kiselev for Russia 1/RIA Novosti, did not fail to address it:

💬 “They are fantasizing, encouraging themselves, first of all. Secondly, they are trying to intimidate us. As for the Federal Republic of Germany, there are constitutional problems there. They correctly say: if these Taurus hit that part of the Crimean Bridge, which, of course, even according to their concepts, is Russian territory, this is a violation of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany.”

Yet it gets curioser and curioser. When the transcript of the Taurus leak was published by RT, everyone was able to hear Brigadier General Frank Gräfe – head of operations of the German Air Force – speaking with Lieutenant Colonel Fenske from the German Space Command Air Operations on the plan to deploy Taurus systems in Ukraine. A key point is that during the plotting, these two mention that plans were already discussed “four months ago” with “Schneider”, the successor of “Wilsbach”. Well, these are German names, of course. Thus it did not dawn on anyone that (Kevin) Schneider and (Kenneth) Wilsbach could instead be… Americans.

Permalink Here’s why Western media ‘coverage’ of Russia is incredibly dangerous

Glenn Diesen | The self-deception practiced by journalists writing about the country is leading to dire consequences | Western media coverage of every Russian election is bad. But this time it was even worse than usual. Instead of lashing out at the incompetence on display, it's more constructive to explore why rational discussions about the country continue to appear impossible. Not to mention the dire consequences of the ongoing self-delusion. [...] We expect journalists to be objective in their reporting of reality, which is especially important during war. But this seems to be almost impossible, especially during conflicts. When human beings experience external threats, their herd instincts are triggered as society demands group loyalty and we punish those who deviate. The political obedience demanded during war time usually results in the weakening of freedom of speech, the role of journalism, and democracy.

Bridgen cited the “Covid Cabal” which appeared to include Gates and the World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations (UN), the World Health Organization (WHO), pharmaceutical company executives, globalist government officials, and corporate elites. Bridgen argues that Gates and the “Covid Cabal” have committed “crimes against humanity” that are “tantamount to treason against the public.” He urged his colleagues to support treating those guilty of these crimes with the death penalty.  During his statement, Bridgen faced pushback from Penny Mordaunt, the Leader of the House of Commons and a long-time WEF member. Permalink Ex-Russian president reacts to Germany’s Putin snub

Berlin has vowed not use the Russian leader’s official title, having criticized the election process | Berlin’s decision not to refer to Russian President Vladimir Putin by his proper title in government documents is ridiculous and possibly a sign of a mental disorder, officials in Moscow have said. The diplomatic snub was announced on Monday in an effort to discredit last week’s presidential election in Russia. Germany and other Western nations claim the electoral process was neither free nor fair. A government spokesperson said the move was symbolic, noting that communications between Berlin and Russia were severely limited anyway. Reacting to the news, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said the stunt “comes from shameful weakness.” He claimed that Germany was essentially saying “We cannot affect the outcome of the election… but just to spite them we need to make some stupid statement.”

Dmitry Medvedev (Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council) (Дмитрий Медведев) | What freaks they are! | The rhetoric of Western morons is strikingly contradictory. Every speech, every day, a pearl. One cannot understand whether it is childish infantilism, or mature stupidity, or utter insolence.  Here is the chief frogman who scares the French landing in Crimea (i.e. in Russia), but swears to answer Vladimir Putin immediately in case of a call. What a consistent and courageous man!  The sausage makers have gone further: they say we will no longer consider Vladimir Putin the President, but we will negotiate with him. The question then is, who is he for them, if he does not have the necessary legitimacy? And what is the price of such negotiations? And all this from shameful weakness. We can't influence the elections, we don't recognize the results, but to make a mess of things, we have to make a stupid statement The officials of Pindostan [the US] are even more brazen. They are openly and unashamedly waging a hybrid war against us. They are using everything in it: huge supplies of weapons to the enemy, sending their military specialists and the work of their intelligence forces. And then they say in plain sight: we want to resume strategic dialog on armaments. No way. This is like negotiating with Hitler about lowering the threshold of offensive weapons during the Great Patriotic War.  It's like that with everything! Permalink What NATO Country Doesn’t Have Troops in Ukraine?

Ted Snider | European discussions about sending troops obscures the fact that several NATO countries already have boots on the ground. | The transcript of an intercepted February 19 conversation between senior German air force officials discussing the possible transfer of German Taurus long-range missiles to Ukraine says that the Germans “know how the English do it....They have several people on-site.” The revelation that the UK has troops on the ground has now been confirmed by the British Prime Minister’s office: “Beyond the small number of personnel we do have in the country supporting the armed forces of Ukraine, we haven't got any plans for large-scale deployment.”  The transcript says that “the French don’t do it that way,” but Scholz has hinted that they do. On February 26, the German Chancellor defended his decision not to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine by saying that it would require the presence of Germans in Ukraine to match their British and French counterparts. He explained, “What is being done in the way of target control and accompanying target control on the part of the British and the French can’t be done in Germany.” He worried that “a participation in the war could emerge from what we do.”  The transcript also cryptically alludes to an American presence on the ground. Wondering whether Ukraine would be able to do targeting on their own, one of the officials says, “It's known that there are numerous people there in civilian attire who speak with an American accent.”

Permalink The EU adopts a ‘Media Freedom’ law, where ‘freedom’ doesn’t mean what you think it does

Rachel Marsden | The act, like most of the bloc’s virtue signaling, is the opposite of what its name ought to herald | The EU’s new Media Freedom Act has now been voted into law, with 464 votes for, 92 against, and 65 abstentions.  There are some news outlets whose coverage of the vote I’d like to see. Like RT’s, where you’re reading this right now. But anyone who’s viewing this from inside the European Union’s bastion of democracy and freedom is likely doing so via a VPN connection routed through somewhere outside the bloc, to circumvent its press censorship.  Nothing in this new law suggests that this will change, or that there will be increased access to information and analysis for the average person. Such improved freedoms might lead to people making up their own minds rather than having various flavors of a similar narrative served up for mass consumption. As has become par for the course in so-called Western democracies, inconvenient facts and analysis will still be dismissed as “disinformation” and criticism of the establishment still qualified as an effort to sow division – as though dissent itself wasn’t supposed to be proof of a healthy and vibrant democracy.  So, now that we’ve gotten out of the way any hope of lifting the EU’s top-down censorship in the absence of due process, exactly what kind of lip service does this new law pay to the lofty notion of media freedom?

Permalink Expert Says Gaza Seaport is to Facilitate Mass Migration of Palestinians to Europe

The “hidden objective” revealed: A Middle Eastern expert says the “hidden objective” behind the U.S. building a seaport in Gaza is to facilitate the mass migration of Palestinians to Europe. | President Joe Biden announced during his State of the Union speech last week that the U.S. Military would establish an “emergency mission to establish a port in the Gaza Strip” to get humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave. However, according to Hisham Khreisat, a Jordanian military and strategic affairs expert, “the floating port off the shores of Gaza is a humanitarian facade hiding voluntary migration to Europe.”

💬 “This military tactical port will receive Israeli approval because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been seeking this idea since the beginning of the war, aiming for the voluntary displacement of Gazans and their flee to Europe,” Khreisat told Anadolu Agency.

According to the news agency, the port is designed to encourage “voluntary Palestinian migration to Europe and eliminating the role of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, essentially placing Israel in control of all Gaza crossings and ending any Palestinian sovereignty over them.”

Permalink Germany backs French push to arm Ukraine with long-range weapons

Berlin has so far refused to provide Kiev with Taurus cruise missiles | European countries intend to create yet another “capability coalition” to supply Ukrainian forces with long-range weapons, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Friday, echoing an initiative floated by French President Emmanuel Macron.  During a joint press conference with Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Berlin on Friday, the German chancellor stated that the countries have agreed to expand their own production of military equipment and “procure even more weapons for Ukraine, on the overall world market.”  “We are establishing a new capability coalition for long-range rocket artillery,” Scholz told journalists. The German leader provided no specifics and took no questions, so it remains unclear whether he meant something new, or was referring to a “long-range” initiative announced by Macron last month.

Permalink UK refuses to say if Israeli bomber planes are using its Cyprus base

UK refuses to say if Israeli bomber planes are using its Cyprus base. After anonymous British officials reveal Israeli F-35s bombing Gaza have had access to Britain’s sprawling air base on nearby Cyprus, the UK military refuses to deny the visits, raising further suspicions about complicity in war crimes. | The British government is refusing to divulge any information about whether its bases on Cyprus are being used to facilitate the bombing of Gaza.  Kenny MacAskill, Alba MP for East Lothian, asked the Ministry of Defence (MoD) if any Israeli Air Force F-35s fighter aircraft have landed at Akrotiri, the vast RAF base on Cyprus, since 7 October 2023.  RAF Akrotiri has long been the staging post for British bombing campaigns in the Middle East, and sits 180 miles from Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv. The flight time is 40 minutes. The MoD replied...

💬 “...for operational security reasons and as a matter of policy, the Ministry of Defence does not offer comment or information relating to foreign nations’ military aircraft movements or operations.”

This comes after the Daily Express recently reported “senior sources” telling the newspaper Israeli F-35s had until recently had access to the UK’s Cyprus base. The sources added that Israel had now been told not to land the planes at RAF Akrotiri until its war in Gaza was over.

Permalink Russia says no to Switzerland ‘peace conference’

The alpine nation can “hardly serve” as a neutral platform for Ukraine talks, the Foreign Ministry has stated | Moscow has no intention of participating in a proposed Swiss-hosted peace conference on the Ukraine conflict, even if it is officially invited, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has stated.  The official response follows recent media reports that China and Switzerland have been pushing to get Russia invited to the talks. Last month, Switzerland announced plans to organize a peace summit “by the summer.” No specific date has been named as yet. The list of participants has also not been revealed. However, Ukraine has indicated that Russia can only be invited if it agrees in advance to a litany of preconditions.

💬 “This forum will be dedicated to promoting the ultimatum ‘Zelenskyy peace formula,’ although its Swiss organizers pretend that they are looking for a common denominator in the peace initiatives of different countries,” Zakharova said, according to a press release issued on Wednesday on the ministry’s website.

She explained that Zelensky’s plan includes a number of unrealistic terms, including the withdrawal of Russian troops to Ukraine’s 1991 borders, holding Moscow accountable and paying reparations, as well as provisions on food, nuclear safety, energy, ecology, and humanitarian problems. Kiev’s basic demands remain the same, while legitimate Russian interests are being ignored, Zakharova said.

Dmitry Medvedev (Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council) (Дмитрий Медведев) | On the Kyiv Nazis' "peace formula", Swiss "peace conferences" and the real basis of the negotiations | When I hear the expression "Zelensky's peace formula," I experience an unbearable feeling of disgust, which quickly turns into a feeling of shame from the bad surrealism of what is happening. After all, everyone understands perfectly well, including even the boorish Western liars, that even in much simpler situations during a war, peace can be achieved either by the mutual will of the parties based on reasonable compromise, or by the surrender of one of the parties to the conflict.  There is no will on the part of the so-called former Ukraine to negotiate. At least not based on recognizing the realities, as Vladimir Putin said yesterday. For them, reality is the brain-dead "peace formula" of a provincial clown in green tights. And nothing else. It looks so artificial that the only way out is to construct our own, Russian formula, calm and quite realistic. Humane for all. Which one? For example, this one:

1. Recognition by the former "Ukraine" of defeat in the military component of the conflict. The full and unconditional surrender of "Ukraine" is represented by the neo-Nazi clique in Kyiv. Demilitarization of "Ukraine" and a ban on the creation of paramilitary formations on its territories in the future.
2. Recognition by the international community of the Nazi character of the Kyiv political regime and carrying out, under UN supervision, the forced denazification of all organs of power in "Ukraine".
3. The confirmation by the UN of the loss of international legal personality of "Ukraine". "Ukraine's loss of international legal personality and the impossibility for any of its legal successors to join military alliances without Russia's consent.
4. The resignation of all constitutional authorities of "Ukraine" and the immediate holding of elections for a provisional parliament of the UN-administered self-governing territory of "Ukraine".
5. Adoption by the provisional parliament of laws on payment of all due compensations to Russia, including payments to relatives of the dead citizens of our country and payments for health damage to the wounded. Establishment of the order of compensation for property damage caused to the subjects of the Russian Federation.
6. Official recognition by the provisional parliament of "Ukraine" that its entire territory is the territory of the Russian Federation. Adoption of an act on the reunification of the territories of "Ukraine" with Russia.
7. Self-dissolution of the provisional parliament. Recognition of the act of reunification by the UN.

This [draft] could be the soft Russian formula for peace. It is the compromise position, right? I would consider it to be the basis for seeking a benevolent consensus with the international community, including the Anglo-Saxon world, holding productive summits, counting on the mutual understanding of our close friends - Western partners. Permalink Polish troops would never leave Ukraine – Putin

Warsaw covets its “historic lands,” the Russian president has claimed | Any attempt to send Polish troops into Ukraine could end in a long-term occupation, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned in an extensive interview with journalist Dmitry Kiselyov, set to be aired by the Russia 1 TV broadcaster and RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

💬 “If Polish troops enter the territory of Ukraine in order to, as they say, secure the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, for example, or in some other places to free up Ukrainian rear military units to participate in hostilities on the front line, then I think that Polish troops will never leave,” Putin said, according to excerpts from the interview.

The deployment of NATO troops to Ukraine amid the conflict with Russia is “not unthinkable,” Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski claimed last week. He was commenting on a statement by French President Emmanuel Macron, who said late last month that he “cannot exclude” the possibility of soldiers from the US-led military bloc being sent to aid Kiev. Putin believes that Polish officials dream of returning...

💬 “...those lands that they consider historically their own, and which were taken from them by… Joseph Stalin, and transferred to Ukraine.” “They certainly want them back. So if official Polish units enter there, they are unlikely to leave,” he claimed.

Permalink The United Kingdom: Zionism's covert nerve center

Kit Klarenberg | Britain's century-long commitment to Zionism and collaboration with Israel today plays a frequently overlooked role in perpetuating the oppression and genocide against Palestinians. | On 9 February, British Defense Minister James Heappey informed parliament that Israeli military operatives are “currently … posted in the UK,” both within Tel Aviv’s diplomatic mission “and as participants in UK defense-led training courses.” This hitherto unacknowledged arrangement amply demonstrates how, despite recent calls from officials in London for Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to exercise restraint in its genocide of Gaza – if not institute a ceasefire – the UK remains international Zionism’s covert nerve center.  Mere days earlier, Heappey likewise admitted that nine Israeli military aircraft landed in Britain since Operation Al Aqsa Flood on 7 October last year. Investigations by independent investigative website Declassified UK show that Royal Air Force aircraft have flown to and from Israel in the same period, along with 65 spy plane missions launched from the UK’s vast, little-known military and intelligence base in Cyprus.  The purpose of those flights and who and/or what they carried are a state secret. Freedom of Information requests have been denied, Britain's Ministry of Defense has refused to comment, and local media is by and large silent.  Nonetheless, in July 2023, British ministers admitted that the UK's training of Israeli military personnel includes battlefield medical assistance, “organizational design and concepts,” and “defense education.” It is unknown if that “education” has in any way informed the slaughter of more than 30,000 Palestinians since 7 October.
