The Russian National Antiterrorism Committee said the government is taking action to ensure the safety of people, maintain law and order and strengthen the protection of sites against terrorism | The Russian National Antiterrorism Committee is imposing counterterrorism measures in the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions to ensure the safety of people and stop terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime.

💬 "The Kiev regime made an unprecedented attempt to destabilize the situation in a number of regions of our country. The terrorist attack on the territory of the Kursk region by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine resulted in casualties among the civilian population and the destruction of homes and other civilian facilities. In order to ensure the safety of citizens and stop the threat of terrorist acts that could be carried out by the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance formations, the National Antiterrorism Committee Chairman and Russian Federal Security Service Director, Alexander Bortnikov, decided to conduct counterterrorism operations in the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions starting from August 9, 2024," the committee said in a statement.

The agency said the government is taking action to ensure the safety of people, maintain law and order and strengthen the protection of sites against terrorism. As part of counterterrorism operations, the government can relocate people to safe areas, control communication by phone, restrict communications, requisition vehicles, and suspend manufacturing activity involving hazardous materials.

Five Lessons For Russia To Learn From Ukraine’s Sneak Attack Against Kursk Region (Andrew Korybko) | These lessons could reshape how policymakers perceive the special operation and therefore improve the way in which it’s being waged. | Ukraine’s sneak attack against Russia’s Kursk Region appears to have successfully penetrated the border according to RT’s update on Wednesday, which followed the Defense Ministry’s claim that the fighting was only taking place on the Ukrainian side of the border. Even though it appears destined to fail and be seen in hindsight as this generation’s “Battle of the Bulge” like many social commentators have described it as, it still taught Russia five very important lessons that it would do well to consider implementing

Permalink 'Israel' massacres over 100 Palestinians performing morning prayers

At least 100 people were killed and dozens others wounded in Israel's bombing of a school in Gaza City, Press TV reported on Telegram. | The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that "Israel" committed a horrendous massacre during the early hours of Saturday at the Al-Tabieen school in Gaza City, killing over 100 Palestinians and wounding dozens of others.

💬 "Due to the enormity of the massacre and the rising number of victims, medical and civil defense teams have not yet been able to retrieve all the bodies," it said in a statement.

The media office held both "Israel" and the US administration responsible, pointing out that the Israeli occupation army launched a direct attack on the school, where many displaced individuals who had sought refuge were performing morning prayers, which led to a massive number of martyrs. More than 300 people were present at the time of the Israeli bombing, the media office added. It condemned this "horrific massacre in the strongest terms and [called] on the entire world to condemn it." The government office also demanded that the international community and international organizations put pressure on the occupation to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
