Triathlete, 27, becomes 5th GTA doctor to die in July

The 27-year-old, who was a resident doctor at McMaster Children Hospital in Hamilton, collapsed while swimming as she competed in a triathlon on Sunday. She subsequently died on Thursday. Friends kept an around-the-clock prayer vigil for the much-loved Nayman who lost her fight and, at her request, had her organs donated to help others. She was “the loving daughter of Nicole and Gary, and the sister of Lauren, her twin, and Maurice, as well as partner to Seth Kadish,” reads an obituary on the Benjamin’s Park Memorial Chapel."

And certain questions now have become impertinent, very much so: Like "What was the cause of death?" "Had [name] been vaccinated?" The new genre is a particularly repugnant one due to its nauseating mix of lies, deceptive intimacy and sentimentality. These reportages now have become obituaries and vice versa. It is hard to tell the difference anymore. The new genre might tentatively be referred to as 'Covid Journalism' even though "covid" (i.e. influenza) has precious little to do with it. But again, that's the point: make it so that the question of the lethal injections never even arises; the very question now has become 'crimethink'. – Yes, it's Orwell again.
