Permalink US MH17 remarks resemble Iraq WMDs tale: Russia

A Russian official says US remarks over the crash of a Malaysian airliner in Ukraine resemble Washington’s hasty conclusions on the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The US has established the guilty party "even before the investigation of the Boeing accident. Earlier, the White House established the same way that Saddam [Hussein] had WMDs [weapons of mass destruction],” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Saturday. The statement follows earlier remarks made by US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power that Washington “cannot rule out” Russia’s role in the recent plane crash over eastern Ukraine. Moreover on Friday, President Barack Obama said evidence indicated that a Malaysian airliner was hit by a missile launched from areas inside Ukraine controlled by “Russian separatists.”

Permalink More than 100 Palestinians dead in worst day of Gaza conflict; Israel denies soldier captured

Day 13 was the bloodiest so far. More than 100 Palestinians were killed in heavy bombardment and street battles in Gaza on Sunday and 13 Israeli soldiers were slain in the most intense day of fighting in Israelfs current offensive against Hamas, officials said. Israel said it pummeled a neighborhood in east Gaza because the warren of shops and concrete-block homes was the site of frequent rocket launches and concealed a network of tunnels dug by Hamas fighters and allied militant factions. When their troops went in, Israeli military officers say, they were surprised by the tenacity, training and weaponry of their opponents. They said Israeli soldiers were repeatedly hit by Gaza militants firing from windows, employing land mines and setting booby traps.

xymphora Telegenically Dead Palestinians || "‘Telegenically Dead Palestinians’: Why Israel Is Losing the American Media War" I don't really agree with this. The Jew-controlled media has reached spectacular new lows of mendacity. The truth is sneaking in, but mostly through Twitter. I suspect Twitter will have to be shut down ('couldn't make any money with that business model'). Yesterday, big massacre, as if they are afraid they are running out of killing time. Today, direct attack on a working hospital. Destruction of health infrastructure is clearly part of the Khazar plan: "#GazaUnderAttack | WARCRIME | Health Ministry: 25 health institutions demolished in the Israeli aggression".

Stephen Lendman Under the Hague Regulations of 1907 (Article 23), Fourth Geneva, Geneva's Common Article III, and other international laws, civilians are protected persons. So is civilian property. Attacking them is prohibited. War crimes are clearly defined. The principles of distinction and proportionality also apply: œ distinction between combatants and military targets v. civilians and non-military ones; attacking latter ones are war crimes except when civilians take direct part in hostilities; and proportionality prohibits disproportionate, indiscriminate force likely to cause damage to or loss of lives and objects.

Antiwar.com: 435 Palestinians, 18 Israelis Killed in Escalating Gaza "War" || The latest Israeli war in the Gaza Strip continues to escalate today, with 13 Israeli soldiers killed in overnight fighting in the strip, including seven killed when their APC drove over an explosive. The death toll on the Palestinian side is still soaring, with around 100 killed today, bringing the overall toll to 435 dead, and well over 2,000 wounded. The Red Cross is working to broker a ceasefire to allow the dead and wounded to be taken out of the battlefield. The toll on the Palestinian side is overwhelming civilian in nature, with an estimated 80 percent of the slain civilians. Of the 435, 112 were children. By contrast, the dead on the Israeli side are almost exclusively soldiers, with 16 troops killed and 2 civilians since the war began. The latest reports out of Gaza say Israeli forces are firing flechette shells now, which explode and spray out thousands of tiny darts to increase the number of casualties. The shells were fired near Khan Younis.

Permalink Expel Palestinians, populate Gaza with Jews, says Knesset deputy speaker

Israel must attack Gaza even more mercilessly, expel the population and resettle the territory with Jews, the deputy speaker of Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, has said. Moshe Feiglin, a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud Party, makes the call in an article for the Israeli news website Arutz Sheva. Feiglin demands that Israel launch attacks “throughout Gaza with the IDF’s [Israeli army’s] maximum force (and not a tiny fraction of it) with all the conventional means at its disposal.” “After the IDF completes the ‘softening’ of the targets with its firepower, the IDF will conquer the entire Gaza, using all the means necessary to minimize any harm to our soldiers, with no other considerations,” Feiglin writes in one of several calls for outright war crimes.
