Permalink NATO airstrikes kill Libyan civilians

The warplanes belonging to the Western-led military coalition have killed several Libyan civilians as they dropped bombs on the opposition-held town of Brega. The opposition says at least 13 of its fighters and several civilians were killed in a NATO airstrike on the outskirts of Brega on Saturday. The Libyan regime also says at least seven civilians were killed when foreign jets pounded a village near the oil city of Brega. The developments come one day after a top Vatican official said NATO airstrikes on Libya have killed dozens of civilians.

Permalink YOUTUBE COPYRIGHTS ZIONISM

When YouTube censors, they normally just remove a video from their site and claim it violated this, that or the other thing. Lately, their ‘game’ is to claim it was a violation of Copyright….. especially videos showing the true nature of Israel or zionism. The latest ‘victim’ is this one that was published just a few days ago on THIS post. Click on it to see what you get…

I take personal offense to the removal of this particular video as DesertPeace and an Associate, Bud Korotzer, were given credits at the end for the stills used in the production. Copyright Claim my arse! CENSORSHIP IS MORE LIKE IT!

Permalink Japan tsunami dog rescued after three weeks at sea - Video

Coastguards in Japan have rescued a dog from the top of a house washed out to sea by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami that hit the country's north-east coast three weeks ago. More than 100 Japanese and US military planes and 65 ships are scouring the coast to locate missing quake victims. More than 11,500 people are confirmed dead but nearly 16,500 remain unaccounted for.

Permalink Are U.S. government microwave mind-control tests causing TV presenters' brains to melt down?

A bizarre spate of television presenters dissolving into on-air gibberish has sparked claims that the U.S. military could be to blame. In four high-profile cases, the latest involving fast-talking Judge Judy, the presenters have started off speaking properly but have then descended into undecipherable nonsense - looking confused and unstable. The frequency of the 'attacks' - and the fact that recorded examples of the mental meltdowns have been popular on websites - has led to conspiracy theorists pointing the finger at shadowy government experiments.

Permalink Seven killed in worst-ever attack on "UN workers" in Afghanistan

Seven United Nations workers have been executed in the northern Afghanistan city of Mazar-e-Sharif by demonstrators protesting the burning of a Koran at a church in Florida.

The victims of the worst-ever attack on UN personnel in Afghanistan included five guards from Nepal, and civilian staff from Norway, Sweden and Romania. Four local residents were also killed. UN officials told The Daily Telegraph the final toll could rise as high as 20, and there were unconfirmed reports that the head of the United Nations Military Assistance Mission (Unama) in Mazar-e-Sharif had also been seriously injured

Local residents said about 2,000 demonstrators attacked UN guards stationed outside Unama compound, seized their weapons and began firing at police. Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, a police spokesman, claimed the protesters had killed two of the guards and shot others before scaling an anti-blast wall to topple a guard tower and set fire to buildings. Few details were available on how the attack took place, but local residents said crowds began gathering there after a cleric at the city's central mosque urged worshippers at Friday prayers to call on the UN take action against Wayne Sapp, an evangelical preacher who burned a Koran at a service at a small fringe church in Gainesville, Flordia, on March 20. Permalink Crack in concrete called source of radioactive water leaking into sea - Video

Highly radioactive water from Japan's crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant is leaking into the Pacific Ocean from a cracked concrete sump near the No. 2 reactor, an official with the plant's owner said Saturday. Water from the two-meter deep, concrete-lined basin could be seen escaping into the sea through a roughly 20-cm (8-inch) crack, an official the Tokyo Electric Power Company told reporters Saturday afternoon. But the company could not explain how the water was getting into the sump, which is a pit in which liquid collects.

Radiation levels in the pit have been measured over 1,000 millisieverts per hour, or more than 330 times the dose an average resident of an industrialized country receives in a year. Utility company officials said Saturday that the plan was to to fill the sump with concrete in order to stop the leakage. Authorities have been working feverishly to explain a sharp spike in contamination in seawater measured just off the plant, which is located 240 kilometers (150 miles) north of Tokyo. The company has retracted some alarmingly high readings in recent days, and Japanese regulators said Saturday that new figures were being reviewed to ensure their accuracy.
