Permalink US drone strike kills 7 in Pakistan

At least seven people have been killed in another US drone attack in Pakistan's troubled North Waziristan region, security officials say. The drone targeted "suspected militants" [civilians] some 40 kilometers (25 miles) northeast of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan, a Press TV correspondent reported. Security officials say the unmanned plane fired three missiles in the area, killing seven and injuring another two. The number of US airstrikes in the volatile border region in Pakistan has drastically increased in recent weeks amid the flood tragedy that has affected most of the south Asian country. The attacks have claimed the lives of hundreds of people in Pakistan. Washington claims that the air raids target militants but most of its victims have turned out to be civilians. Islamabad has condemned the strikes as violation of its sovereignty.

Permalink Obama in 1980 said he was born in Mombasa, Kenya

(Dec. 3, 2009) — The stunning admission was made to a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, in a chance meeting in the vicinity of Kalakaua Blvd., one evening in early August of 1980. He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, “I was born there.” I told him he is not eligible to be president if that was true, but I remembered he said his mom was an American, so, maybe it was okay. But it was what I did after that makes this a true memory: I went back to the barracks and told others of this guy and suggested we all grab our photo albums and visit him again and show him pictures of Mombassa so he could see where he was from.

Permalink Article: By Way of Deception, We Shall do War

Lenin (Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov) said, “The establishment of a central bank is 90% of communizing a nation.” [1] Worldwide control obviously requires extraordinary organization, superior weaponry and high technology (like HAARP), political power and monopoly control of all the resources. On February 17, 1950, James P. Warburg declared to the U.S. Senate, “We shall have World Government, whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent.” [2] In Russia and China and other countries, the elite used thugs for their violent conquest of existing leaders.

Populations wouldn’t knowingly consent to their own demise. But distracted, naïve, ignorant citizens, by their consent, relinquish their liberties by placing their trust in others, (1) two-faced lying politicians who have abandoned the constitution and sold their souls and, (2) the persuasive profit-driven elite media. Smiling talking heads and brilliant, fast-talking female lawyers in low-cut garments legitimize immodesty while peddling infotainment disguised as news. They equivocate among themselves over the Neocon’s next war target which they claim is necessary to keep America safe. While selling their illusions and building our perceptions, what to wear, eat, drink, think and who to fear, they conceal, suppress or gloss over stories that are actually pertinent to our lives.

Permalink Afghanistan’s Election ‘Success’ – Violence, Fraud and Low Turnout

Officials were trumpeting Saturday’s parliamentary election in Afghanistan as a resounding success, with General David Petraeus insisting it “sent a powerful message” to the insurgency and other NATO officials maintaining that violence wasn’t nearly as bad as expected.

But the reality on the ground was at least 18 deaths, widespread fraud and intimidation, and security problems which kept roughly 20% of the country unable to vote at all. Voter turnout was expected to be robust, with a pre-vote poll showing a bizarre split between cynicism about the massive corruption and yet that 70% of Afghans planned on voting. The reality was that they didn’t, not even close. Official turnout figures from IEC said 40% of eligible voters cast ballots, but this was revealed to be a fudged estimate based on an artificially reduced eligibility number. In reality only 3.6 million votes were cast, and over 16 million registered voters in the nation.

And of course, 3.6 million votes in Afghanistan doesn’t mean 3.6 million voters, as fake voting cards were being sold openly in bazaars and ballot stuffing was reported at multiple sites. Between these and the reports of bribery and coercion, reports of violence and ballots running out, the results of the election seem to be exactly what the polls suggested, an unfair vote.

Permalink Warren To Be Appointed—Sort Of

Elizabeth Warren triumphs. Well, sort of. President Obama has reportedly tapped her to be a special adviser to Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner for the purposes of setting up the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. (She will also be awarded the title of assistant to the president.) This is not the same as nominating her to head the CFPB, which Warren, the Harvard professor who runs the Congressional Oversight Panel that monitors the TARP bailout, first (and presciently) proposed establishing in 2007—before the financial meltdown. But it's close.

While Warren's many fans on the left have been fervently pushing for her to be named the new federal watchdog agency's first chief, there were clear signs that she would be met with resistance on Capitol Hill, with the banking and financial industries and their Republican allies in the Senate looking to prevent the plain-spoken consumer advocate from taking the reins of an outfit that is supposed to take on credit card firms, mortgage lenders, and banks that engage in abusive or deceptive practices. Rather than wage a high-profile fight over Warren—a battle that the White House might have been able to turn to its political advantage in the run-up to the congressional elections—the president has opted to sidestep the normal process and hand Warren a position not subject to Senate confirmation. She won't become head of the new agency, but she will be its official godmother, overseeing its establishment.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called for an urgent global response to the flood disaster which has affected millions in Pakistan. The UN chief, who was addressing an international ministerial meeting on Pakistan's floods on Sunday, called the devastation "the worst natural disaster the United Nations has responded to in its 65-year history."

On Friday, Ban appealed for a record $2 billion in emergency aid for the millions of victims of Pakistan's devastating floods, calling the crisis "a global test of solidarity." According to the UN, Pakistan needs the money to buy food, set up emergency camps, rebuild its agricultural sector and reconstruct villages, which have seen their drinking water and sanitation systems wiped out. More than 20 million people have been affected by the floods since July, with up to 12 million needing urgent humanitarian aid.

The flood waters, which hit northern Pakistan, are still moving to the southern provinces, causing alarming new emergencies. There are fears of a looming health crisis with 709,000 cases of dysentery, almost a million cases of skin disease, more than 800,000 cases of acute respiratory infections and hundreds of thousands of cases of malaria and dengue fever that are being spread by mosquitoes. Pakistani officials told the meeting that the country had only 20 percent of the food and water needed for the flood victims.

Permalink U.S. strike kills 70 in Afghanistan

The loss of civilian lives at the hand of foreign forces has dramatically increased anti-American sentiments in Afghanistan. A U.S. airstrike has reportedly left 70 people dead in southeastern Afghanistan as the war-ravaged country votes to elect a new parliament. According to Afghan officials, the incident took place in province of Paktia on Saturday when a Taliban convoy came under attack. Provincial officials say the victims were all militants, however, locals and eyewitnesses say the attack claimed civilian casualties. This is while Taliban militants have launched sporadic attacks to disrupt the parliamentary election, killing more than a dozen people. Taliban militants and U.S. officials have not commented on the attack so far. The loss of civilian lives at the hand of foreign forces has dramatically increased anti-American sentiments in Afghanistan, causing thousands of Afghans to protest against US-led military presence in the country.

Permalink Sweden: Far-right party ("Democrats") voted into hung parliament

After a triumphal arrival - music, cheers, chants and lights - in an isolated Stockholm restaurant at around 10:30 pm local time, Åkesson fell into the arms of Björn Söder, the Sweden Democrats' party secretary general. A long hug followed with the two men clamping their eyelids shut as if to keep tears from running down their cheeks. "Today, we have written political history," he said and then sang along to a catchy Swedish song with the words "We are on our way, do you want to come with us?"

Permalink Largest flotilla yet en-route to Gaza

Ships from Britain, Morocco, Qatar to rendezvous in Syria, sail toward el-Arish Port in northern Sinai Peninsula; activists plan to enter Gaza through Rafah Crossing, deliver humanitarian aid. Four months after being injured on board the Mavi Marmara ship, one of the participants of late May's Gaza-bound flotilla on Saturday joined what organizers are calling "the largest flotilla yet." Kevin Ovenden set sail from Britain Saturday morning along with 30 other activists on a voyage they dubbed "Viva Palestina." Their goal is to reach the Gaza Strip through Rafah Crossing – after docking in Egypt's el-Arish Port at the northern Sinai Peninsula.

At the same time, activists from Qatar and Morocco are making last arrangements before heading for Syria and joining the locals en route to the Gaza Strip. "Our mission last time was to take aid in and to highlight the siege," Ovenden told CNN. "That's our mission this time." Ovenden also denied claims that activists aboard the Mavi Marmara carried weapons that were used against the soldiers during the raid. "I witnessed the man one meter in front of me being shot in the leg, a man 50 centimeters to the right of me being shot through the abdomen," Ovenden said of the experience.

Permalink FASCISM IN ISRAEL: Israel’s foreign minister demands Arabs be stripped of citizenship

Israel’s foreign minister demanded yesterday that some of Israel’s Arab citizens be stripped of their citizenship and transferred to a future Palestinian state. In comments that infuriated Arab Israeli legislators, Avigdor Lieberman, the head of the ultra-nationalist Yisrael Beitenu party, said the country’s borders should be redrawn to exclude any Israeli Arab who does not recognise Israel as a Jewish state. Israel’s Arab minority makes up about one-fifth of the country’s population. Although Mr Lieberman’s proposal is not new, its timing may provoke Israeli Arabs and make Washington’s goal of reaching a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians within a year more difficult. Peace talks began this month. “Whoever claims that he is fighting against Zionism [evil] should go over to become citizens of the Palestinian Authority,” Mr Lieberman, whose party is the second-biggest in the governing coalition, told reporters before the weekly cabinet meeting.

THE CONTROVERSY OF ALEX ‘BULLHORN’ JONES being an alleged Zionist shill has now expanded to his apparent Zionist-Jewish connections on his 1) Personal Staff 2) Website Advertisers 3) Link To Time Warner President, Edgar Bronfman Jr. Jones’ seeming allegiance to Zionism, which explains why he virtually never targets Zionist Jews or the racist, Zionist rogue state of Israel when engaging in his notorious rants and attacks, may well stem from a Protestant-Zionist belief system, and the widely circulated reports that his wife is a Jew - - which makes his two children Jewish under Talmudic law and eligible for the Israeli Law Of Return. In that Jones’ wife is of Jewish heritage, both she and the children would be automatic dual citizens…Alex would not qualify. With additional information on Jones which this site is now providing, Alex Jones’ Zionist connections prompting his reticence to expose global Zionism, becomes ever more obvious. And to add insult to injury, Jones recently interviewed a Zionist-Jew professor, a “Dr Jonathan Levy,” who railed in typical Jewish fashion against the Catholic Church as being part of the New World Order. Yet, not a word from Jones and his Jewish guest about Zionist Jewry being the real driving force behind the NWO.
