In Pakistan, death toll from US drone attack hits 8
A US drone fires two missiles into the troubled northwestern Pakistan, killing at least eight people and injuring several others. According to Pakistani intelligence officials, the two missiles landed in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan. Earlier reports said four people had lost their lives in the lethal drone attack. Later, however, officials put the death toll at eight. The death toll is expected to rise as some of the injured are reported to be in critical conditions, sources said.
