Israel Invites The World To Revolt!

Kourosh Ziabari

One of Israel's nuclear armed submarines (made by Germany)

Over the past 60 years, the racist regime of Israel has been continually scoffing the international community under the cover of “deliberate ambiguity” to develop one of the most perilous nuclear arsenals in the world. According to the Federation of American Scientists, Israel possesses more than 200 nuclear warheads which are simply adequate to evaporate the whole world in a matter of moments.

Israel which is the only possessor of nuclear weapons in the Middle East and one of the three non-signatories to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty has blatantly rejected the appeal of the 189 signatories of the NPT, including its key ally the United States, to sign up to the treaty and put its nuclear facilities under the comprehensive safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The 2010 NPT review conference which wrapped up on May 28 in New York and was attended by the representatives from the NPT member states called on the five United Nations Security Council permanent members to move towards eliminating their nuclear arsenals and affirmed the necessity of Israel’s joining the treaty and abiding by its international obligations with regards to nuclear non-proliferation.

Zionist officials, however, rejected the appeal and resorted to the excuse that Israel is not signatory to the NPT, so they’re not legally obliged to reveal the information related to their nuclear arsenal, nor are they responsible for reducing their atomic weapons, let alone eliminating them whatsoever.

A Lullaby of Lies

Justin Raimondo

Sea of Lies” by Ronald Kuniawan

That's the Obama administration talking

While most Americans were sitting out on their decks barbecuing over the Memorial Day weekend, our leaders were planning to barbecue a few Pakistanis, as the Washington Post reported:

“The U.S. military is reviewing options for a unilateral strike in Pakistan in the event that a successful attack on American soil is traced to the country’s tribal areas, according to senior military officials.”

Hey, wait a minute: I thought Attorney General Eric Holder has supposedly already established that the Pakistani Taliban were directly involved in the Times Square bombing attempt – which, although not successful, did succeed in generating shockwaves from Washington to Islamabad.

Well, not quite: the evidence for the existence of a “network” supposedly assisting Shahzad – consisting, so far, of three Pakistani-Americans and immigrants living in the US – is far less solid than Holder and the Obama administration would have us believe. In the case of Aftab Khan, a gas station attendant and Pakistani immigrant arrested at his home in Watertown, Mass., the only piece of evidence they can come up with is Shahzad’s phone number, which was stored on a phone said to be Khan’s and written on a piece of paper found in the apartment.

What legitimacy does Israel have?

Christopher King

UN recognition of Israel is fatally flawed

Christopher King argues that beneath Israel’s litany of crimes against the Palestinians, and most recently its murder of humanitarian workers aboard the Gaza-bound international aid flotilla, lies the fact of its own illegality.

The true nature of the so-called freedom-loving, democratic state of Israel is now clear to the world following its military attack on Gaza, its illegal blockade of Gaza with terrible suffering of its population and now the murder of nine humanitarian activists in course of pirating the Free Gaza Flotilla in international waters.

These horrifying events should focus minds within the international community on the legitimacy of the Israeli regime. We should consider what meaning for its present status its disregard for legality and human rights since its inception might have.

The foundation of the entity Israel was supported by Europe and America due to sympathy or guilt, as you might have it, for the suffering of European Jews, the colonialist thinking of that time and familiarity with the Jewish biblical narrative.

Swedish dock workers have boycotted loading Israeli ships

Courtenay Barnett

I would like to share these thoughts. Let’s put events in chronological sequence.

ONE During and subsequent to 1948 some 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly expelled from what is today Israel. Viewed through the eyes of the law, one may consider this fact conjunctively with fact #2 right below.

TWO Subsequent to the recognition of the 1967 borders as Israel’s territorial area, Israel has continued with a policy of settling on lands outside that territorial area.

The law might be considered in light of the factual situation referred to in the two points above:

The Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, known as the Fourth Geneva Convention. Article 49 states:

Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive. ... The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.

The United Nations Charter, Article 51 reads:

Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.

Israel falls back on lies

Khalid Amayreh

While its propaganda machine ramped up to full pace following its attack on the Gaza humanitarian convoy, the truth of Israel's brutality is hard to conceal, Khaled Amayreh writes in Jerusalem

The Israeli government has embarked on a disinformation campaign to justify its act of piracy against the ships carrying humanitarian goods to Gazans starving for the fourth successive year under Israel's illegal blockade.

The activists, representing more than 40 nationalities, were bringing humanitarian materials included powdered milk, wheelchairs and a symbolic shipment of cement and other building materials to help Gazans rebuild homes destroyed during Israel's onslaught on the coastal territory more than 18 months ago.

Israel's alleged that the Gaza Freedom Flotilla activists were "terrorists" and agents of Al-Qaeda and Hamas and that the ships were crammed with weapons and war materiel destined for Hamas.

All leading Israeli officials, from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to Foreign Ministry operatives as well as a phalanx of spokespersons speaking in different languages spread the disinformation. Much of the Western media acted -- using the words of one British journalist -- as mere stenographers for the Israeli propaganda machine.
