There was a time, not too long ago (relatively speaking), that governments and the groups of elites that controlled them did not find it necessary to conscript themselves into wars of disinformation. Propaganda was relatively straightforward. The lies were much simpler. The control of information flow was easily directed. In fact, during the early Middle-Ages in most European countries commoners were not even allowed to own a Bible, nor was the Bible allowed to be interpreted from Latin to another language, let alone any other tome that might breed “dangerous ideas”. This was due in large part to the established feudal system and its hierarchy of royals and clergy. Rules were enforced with the threat of property confiscation and execution for anyone who strayed from the rigid socio-political structure. Those who had theological, metaphysical, or scientific information outside of the conventional and scripted collective world view were tortured and slaughtered. The elites kept the information to themselves, and removed its remnants from mainstream recognition, sometimes for centuries before it was rediscovered.

With the advent of anti-feudalism, and most importantly the success of the American Revolution, elites were no longer able to dominate information with the edge of a blade or the barrel of a gun. The establishment of Democracies (and Democratic Republics), with their philosophy of open government and rule by the people, compelled Aristocratic minorities to plot more subtle ways of obstructing the truth and thus maintaining their hold over the world without exposing themselves to retribution from the masses. Thus, the complex art of disinformation was born. The technique, the “magic” of the lie, was refined and perfected. The mechanics of the human mind and the human soul became an endless obsession for the elites.

Close passages of coronal mass ejections from the sun are signaled at the Earth’s surface by Forbush decreases in cosmic ray counts. We find that low clouds contain less liquid water following Forbush decreases, and for the most influential events the liquid water in the oceanic atmosphere can diminish by as much as 7%. Cloud water content as gauged by the Special Sensor Microwave/Imager (SSM/I) reaches a minimum ≈7 days after the Forbush minimum in cosmic rays, and so does the fraction of low clouds seen by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and in the International Satellite Cloud Climate Project (ISCCP). Parallel observations by the aerosol robotic network AERONET reveal falls in the relative abundance offine aerosol particles which, in normal circumstances, could have evolved into cloud condensation nuclei. Thus a link between the sun, cosmic rays, aerosols and liquid-water clouds appears to exist on a global scale.

Watch emotional spin doctor Alastair Campbell [*] break down in a TV interview on the Iraq war’s 'dodgy dossier'. Is it genuine or just another shameless spin?

“The arch media manipulator, says the Daily Mail, “appeared for a few seconds almost to lose it altogether when he was pressed over Tony Blair's evidence to the Chilcot inquiry into the Iraq war”.

Apparently Campbell was so upset because Tony Blair is actually a “ totally honourable man”. Clearly Campbell is not upset by the FACT that his own dodgy dossier led to an illegal war and a genocide.

In the run up to the Iraq War, Alastair Campbell was involved in the preparation and the release of the "September Dossier" (September 2002) and the "Iraq Dossier" (February 2003). Not before too long, both documents had been proved to be heavily distorted and detached from intelligence findings. Subsequent investigations revealed that the September 2002 Dossier had been altered, on Campbell's orders, to be consistent with a speech given by George W. Bush and statements by other United States officials.

World Bank Country Manager Visit to Arkhangai Province, Mongolia

The snow seems to have hit in early January and, towards the end of the month a World Bank team was reporting that there had been heavy and continuous snowfall, blizzards and a sharp fall in daily temperatures – dropping below minus 40 degrees Celsius.

In 19 out of Mongolia's 21 provinces, disaster areas had been declared, with then losses amounting to approximately three percent of the country's roughly 44 million livestock. Many more losses were expected.

More recently, a Sky News team visited the area and came back with a story of "the worst winter in 30 years", with the reported death of one and a half million livestock, the weather driving tens of thousands of nomadic herders into the cities as they struggled to survive. Some 400,000 nomads, or 40 percent the herding population, in a country of 2.3 million people, were severely affected.

The city was marked for death after an angry mob mutilated four American mercenaries -- following a series of civilian killings by occupation forces in the preceding weeks: provocations that have been conveniently airbrushed from history."

Barack Obama's Bush-like "surge" in Afghanistan has not even reached its full strength yet, but it is already driving tens of thousands of Afghan civilians from their homes, as they flee an upcoming massive attack in Helmand province.

The attack -- which the Americans have been trumpeting far in advance -- is designed, we're told, to "protect" the people of the key town of Marjah from the twin scourges of Taliban nogoodniks and drug traffickers. Yet the primary effect of the much-publicized preparations has been to send the residents of the town running for their lives to escape becoming part of the "collateral damage" that always attends these protective, humanitarian endeavors.

Indeed, the real aim of the advance publicity for the attack seems to be forcing mass numbers of civilians to hit the road -- which will then allow the American and British attackers to claim that anyone left behind is an enemy. This in turn will free up the attackers to use heavy weaponry in a "free-fire" zone to clear out the "diehards."
